Remember when Jared Wilson Frame tweeted a personal apology and took ownership for a stretch where he hadn’t played well? It was a class act and I remember him playing better after the tweet.
I’m really hating Johnson and Trey. They have Artis and Young like arrogance yet don’t have half the talent or skills.
Maybe they should consider apologizing to the fan base that made their hype possible and take responsibility for the shit show they’ve put on this season?

Yea both of these guys have some serious maturing issues and growing up to do. Both are just okay players in my opinion but they just do not look like at least right now that they are players that will take Pitt to that next level. They are both just not very good.

Just throwing this out there:

These two guys are too much the same player. Maybe we need to pick one and move on from the other.

Trey was originally going to be a point, maybe he becomes our point.

If you only had one and he was going to play point, which one would you rather have?

X and it’s not even close.

This is a huge problem for us IMO.

We have 2 identical players who can’t shoot. But both are good players so you can’t “push them out” or recruit over them but at the same time it creates basically a 3 on 5 out there.

If this is all that Pitt is going to get from them, their transfers are bearable. It would give Capel a chance to recruit some shooters.

Yeah
Not sure what the hell would prompt that statement other than someone being silly
Trey is a good combo guard who played bad tonight .
X is a point guard who needs to learn to dribble less and pass more .
At this point I blame Capel because we clearly have no actual offense

someone posted in another thread the offense is starting to resemble the end of the Stallings era, Hard to argue that.

If Horton is as good as JC has made him out to be, he will eat into the minutes of both next year. He is not going to play the 3 with the other 2 by his side.

I agree with this. I think 1 of them moves on and Horton moves into the starting lineup. Its ashame because I think they both have potential but neither have developed any other aspects of their game other than driving the lane.

Neither X or Trey is PG so if he gets in 1 next yr. I may look to start him. Having 2 dribble happy SG's out there is not working because they don't complement one another.

Be careful. I took a lot of heat for posting that. I definitely think if we can bring in a good PG option, you have to move Johnson off the ball and McGowens to the 3 or the bench if they're both here.

They both can not be on the floor at the same time. If they are, they take turns trying to do too much and turning the ball over or taking bad shots.

You’ve gone full on nutty at this point
Last game you wanted brown gone
Now you want our best two players gone

just take a break from watching for awhile - or at least posting after games

No you move one to the bench because the PG and the SG are supposed to complement one another and not be the same person. Anyone that knows anything about basketball knows this and I know I feel I do I was a point guard.
Now I'm only saying if he's get a true PG in next yr for now they're all we have.

Do you think if you "move" Trey to the 3,he will play the least bit different than he is playing now?

This is who Trey and X are.

I still want Brown gone or at least, to be a DNP.

I think having a couple of more than decent bigs will change their whole game approach versus the feeling that if they don’t do it there is nobody else. And...to me that is true.

You took a lot of heat because you are an anti_Pitt troll who posts nothing but negative horse manure about everything PITT. Someone else may have a valid opinion that agrees with one of your thousands of nothing but Bull posts but its merely accidentally. His is based on intelligence, yours is based on pure hatred . You know how to call for coaches to be fired and players to be pushed out. Nothing intelligent. Just anti-PITT venom.

This is who Trey and X are.

Maybe. A solid PG could help get them both easier looks especially if that PG can shoot so the D has to pay attention to him. But the fact remains that they are the same player. Their skillsets are almost identical and they dont seem to play well together or complement each other.
