Wow! I did not see that coming. That’s genuinely insane.
This has nothing to do with his reelection or anything else that frankly doesn’t matter within this context. We will worry about that in November.
However, there is no question that this administration turned down proven testing kits from the WHO and the CDC’s testing kits didn’t work.
Think about that for a second.
We had a two month head start on this virus and we got nothing accomplished. Now, we are going to pay the price for our arrogance/idiocy. We are still weeks behind where we should be regarding testing. There’s no reasonable debate to be had on that front. Those are unassailable facts that cannot be spun or explained away. That’s not from some liberal news network, those are facts that everyone agrees on.
Last week, Trump was telling everyone this is all going to “miraculously” go away and is all just a big hoax by the Democrats and the media. They also told everyone they had this totally under control and that our numbers were decreasing. Again, those are factual statements about what the president and his surrogates were saying as this pandemic was spreading.
All of those were massive and incredibly dangerous lies!
You can call me whatever names you want to call me, but that does not change the fact that those were all clearly lies!
He is STILL lying about all manner of things including the availability of testing kits. Go try to get a testing kit right now. Good luck to you!

I do think Anthony Fauci has acquitted himself well here. He appears to be the only one in that entire group who has been telling the truth. He has not lost any credibility through this process, but he is practically alone in that regard.

This is going to get far, far worse before gets better. This is not going to be a two or three week thing, guys. It’s probably going to be a two or three months thing — at a minimum.
I do agree with those who say that the politics of this is secondary right now. That’s absolutely true. However, that was also true whenever the president was treating a public health crisis like a financial crisis and was running around talking about the effect this is going to have on the markets, rather than the toll it’s going to take on so many of our families.
They have bungled this from the start and there’s no way anyone can spin this otherwise. Oh, I know many will try. They are awesome at convincing millions and millions of people that up is down and hot is cold.
However, how he has handled this so far and how he will handle this going forward will constitute Trump's legacy. There’s just no doubt about it. This is his chance to totally undo the naysayers.
How he reacts to this crisis going forward will determine not only his future but America’s future — certainly in the near term. It will be very interesting to see if he’s up to the task?

This Corona Virus showing that after 16,000+ Lies by Shawshank Trump that the Chickens have come home to roost for him that this Country that elected a Reality TV President, who is so unqualified to lead our Country that he does not even care to read or listen to the Daily Intelligence Reports(he just gets bored and turns on Fox and Friends).

Barr was not able to lie about the Corona Virus though to protect Shawshank Trump like he did getting out in front of the 4 Page Summary of the Mueller Report, and now it is scary how Shawshank Trump has an AG, who works as his Personal Attorney(so he got his Roy Cohn), as Shawshank Trump is slowly turning our Government from a Democracy into an Autocracy by taking over the Justice Department, Intelligence Agencies and other Federal Departments to protect his Unchecked Power(with the help of Spineless GOP Senators, who are afraid of being given a Trump Loyalist in a Primary with Trump's Large CULT Following. Apparently, Lindsay Graham's Backbone was buried with John McCain).
After the GOP Acquitted Shawshank Trump in their Sham(No Witnesses) Impeachment Trial, he became 'Mango Unchained' going after all of his Political Enemies(at least Justice prevailed for McCabe, as even Barr could not get a Grand Jury to bring up Charges).
Mango Unchained has traded in the Countries, who are our Allies, for Countries lead by Dictators(and ignoring interference from Russia with the assistance of 'Moscow Mitch' blocking legislation to protect our elections). Moscow Mitch has let several hundred bills on a variety of issues brought to him go without a vote, so he can use every free day to ram over 190 and counting Federalist Society 'Little Scalias' to the Federal Courts(the hypocrisy on Originalist Judges not being Activist can be saved for another Thread, but they are Activist when it suits their own Right Wing Causes and yes Scalia himself was an Activist Judge at times).
The Courts were the only reason I voted for Hillary Clinton(and she was way more qualified, but then again any GOP Person in the Primary Race was more qualified than Shawshank Trump), as I really did not like her(personal level), although, as an Independent Registered Voter, I would have voted for John Kasich, if he would have been the GOP Nominee, but he was too Moderate to have any chance to beat off an Entire CULT.
Mango Unchained takes the Word of Putin over our own US Intelligence Agencies. He should have been removed from Office for that alone. If Obama would have said that, the Fox Propaganda Talk Show Hosts' Heads would have collectively exploded.
Mango Unchained is really worried, as he knows if he loses the election in November, that the Southern District of NY is sitting on Sealed Document(Remember he was Unnamed Person in the Michael Cohen Case and among other things they were investigating, I assume the SDNY has his Taxes-unless the SCOTUS bails him out with their decision on access to his Taxes this Summer) that will put him in Prison for the rest of life and once out of the White House, he will not have Barr to protect him.
In the End, Our Country will Get what We Deserve if this Racist, Misogynist, Russian Puppet, Sociopathic Grifter and his Organized Crime Family gets re-elected, despite the Dems putting up a Weak Older Candidate in Biden, who does not excite People and looks like he is ready for the Nursing Home(hoping he adds a Strong Woman as VP, and my preference is he selects Stacey Abrams, who got screwed out of her own Georgia Governor Race through Voter Suppression when her Opponent controlled it Election Process in his past position while he was also allowed to run as the GOP Candidate against her, as she will excite people, especially Black Voters in some States who will most likely need to wait out several hours in long lines to vote with States like Texas shutting down over 700 Polling Places and over 500 of which are in areas where mostly Non White People live).
I did not agree with most of George W Bush's Policies(especially Chaney's influence on him to go to War with Iraq was a stupid Clusterf**k), but at least I did not fear that Bush would turn our Democracy into an Autocracy(and he did not try to take over the Justice Department), and he was a likable person and not a White Nationalist, Criminal, who maintained relationships with our True Allies and he was not Putin's B*tch.

I have only been listening to the Medical Experts and Scientists(another Group of People the GOP have tried to remove, even before Shawshank Trump became POTUS, from Government or Defund their Research) to follow for advice during this Corona Virus until it is contained.
