-Kid is on a tear in the state playoffs. 28 points, 6 boards, 6 assists, 3 steals in round 1, hitting 4 threes in a row to bury Millwood, and 22 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals in round 2. Trailing on the road against the #2 team in the state by 7 points with 4 minutes to go in the game, Kitchart scored 7 straight points in a row including a 3 to tie the game and led his team to a 52-51 team victory to advance to the Final 4.

-This is the type of guard Louisville gets that kills us every year. A player that can score and is a real menace on defense that takes games over in the 2nd half. This kid is like a hybrid between Krauser and Fields. Tough, can penetrate, can shoot, can lock you down on defense, and can take games over in the 2nd half. Very excited about this kid.

Justice Kithcart-

"Justice Kithcart is the type of player that every coach wants on their roster. The Pittsburgh bound senior is a true floor general that plays with a purpose every time he steps foot on the hardwood. Standing at 6’2”, Kithcart always seems to be in the right place at the right time. His beautiful mid-range jump shot and shifty ball-handling ability make him a threat every time he touches the rock on the offensive side of the floor. He has phenomenal court vision, explosive lock-down defense, and an extraordinarily high basketball IQ that puts the icing on the cake. After watching this hoss compete throughout the course of his high school career, it became apparent to us that he definitely has what it takes to compete with the big boys. Look for this playmaker to wreak havoc all weekend long"

JD just might have caught lightning in a bottle with this kid ...

Justice surely looks like the real deal but he will be transitioning to a much, much harder environment next year. Let's let him get accustomed to the ACC before anointing him as the next point guard. I would say Wilson with a year under his belt along with Milligan and Crishawn Clark will all have something to say as to who the starting point guard will be.

Wilson is not a PG at this level. Hopefully he works his butt off and becomes similar to Brad Wanamaker.

JJ Moore also had great highlights in high school and everyone was excited about him and look how he turned out. I am hopeful but will definitely take a wait and see approach.

And do not forget Cam Johnson was a point guard before his growth spurt

-True to an extent. The one difference is Moore's high school team wasn't very good and they didn't play any defense at all. I remember reading about him and his team often gave up 100+ points per game in street park like games. It was all run and gun sloppy basketball. And if I remember correctly, all I remember Moore being touted for was scoring and not anything else. Yea, he was kind of a bust.

Never live up to it. First game he does well.....all American!!!!!! After a couple rough games....he tricked me!!!!! fIre Jamie!!!!!!!!

How many games til the posters here turn on him and proclaim him a bust? Two?

Good stuff here. I agree with FieldHouse. It's great to come to a board where there is actual content. TOS is a sewer.

What is interesting is the contrast in styles between JRob and Kithcart. JRob is a pass first and second PG, Kithcart seems like an attack off the bounce guy.

I also think Wilson is an attack off the dribble guard.

I wonder if Jamie will switch up the offense, and defense for that matter with the addition of quicker guards. (Kithcart, Milligan, and Clark)

I think that Jamie is playing to his strengths this year, the mid range jump shot. Artis, Young, and Jeter all seem to be very good mid range shooters. That is where our offense seems to take the majority of its shots. Not sure where else this team can get "good" shots.

The offense tends to get tweaked to fit the personnel every year.
Still motion, but the sets change.

Im starting to think Phil is an employee for a certain site ? He has to be getting payed by someone.

You may be right about that. I can't think of any one sane person ever wanting to do what he does with his childish garbage unless he's getting paid to do it. Normal, sane people just don't act by choice the way he does.

Right. Didn't he invent the O?? Those hot dogs will be there for generations to come.
Lol! Back to the subject real quick, Kithcart, after watching some film, looks like he has that ball on a string and has complete confidence in himself to make things happen. Plus, if things do bog down, he can be a shoot first guy, which is something Jrob never looked to do for us until just the last few games.

I will not take a wait and see attitude with the kid. I am proclaiming that he will be the greatest PG Pitt has ever had.

Seriously, though, I've liked this kid for a long time. What is impressive on his film is how he repeatedly drives into the paint against really tall bigs and attacks them and can score despite his size disadvantage. Seeing that, makes me think his game will translate to the next level.
And the kid has a real confidence in him that is really important for a kid moving to the next level. And the quickness is there.

Don't hate me for being realistic. I'm just trying to bring you back to earth before this almighty PG goes number 1 in the draft.

I think you are confusing my words with others words. I quoted other recruiting websites quotes, they were not mine.

If you have something you disagree with, feel free to contact Paul Biancardi, the National director of recruiting for ESPN.com. Some of those quotes were his.

I put little value into that these "experts" have to say nor do I get a chub when they make ridiculous claims
