Justice Kithcart, Starting Point Guard next year

I put little value into that these "experts" have to say nor do I get a chub when they make ridiculous claims

Okay. Well you have nothing to comment on then. You may be in the wait and see crowd. Im more interested in knowing if our basketball program has any talent coming in for the future. I believe we have a nice piece of talent here with this kid.

JD just might have caught lightning in a bottle with this kid ...
Or not.

No way to know until he has some college experience under his belt.

There is reason to be optimistic, but nobody knows how he's going to pan out until he's tested at this level.

It would be reasonable to expect him to struggle next season. Lots of really good guards in the ACC.

-For those that are interested.

Kithcart-19 points, 7 assists, 5 steals, his team just won the state title and he carried the load, again. 65-56 final, shut down defense.

1:22 in 2nd: Virginia Episcopal 46 Blue Ridge 33. The inside-out combo of Sacha Killeya-Jones & Justice Kithcart lived up to hype #VaHoops

Ho hum. Watching his highlights he looks like every other so called A-1 guard recruited by Dixon (reminds me of of Epps and Wilson). His entire highlight tape is driving to the hoop against other high school players. No ability to shoot 3 and no way this kid is able to drive to the hoop for layups vs ACC comp

Really?? Oh that's just great. All this hype and now you give the reality. It wasn't making sense to me, this kid seemed too good to come play for Dixon. Lately we get 2 and 3 star guys. If he was that good he would be going to a top school, not us. Figures.

I would just like somebody that plays hard with attitude

That was my initial sense when he first came on the radar in July, about not being able to get all those baskets going to the hoop in the ACC like he is in HS.

But I have gained a better appreciation of him.

I think he will be able to do that a bit still, obviously not like he is, but he definitely flashes a solid perimeter shot, gets decent jump on his jump shot, has a real strong handle and can move around people with it. He is very well regarded for his defense, is a really hard worker and just has more of a NYC attitude to him vs the prep school vibe JRob has.

Who knows, but I like him better than I did Newkirk, who I always felt was a half and half.

I hate to say this, but a point guard often times is to a certain degree, a product of the players he is surrounded by. We have to find some shooters to put around this kid. Jamie needs to find a 2. WE NEED 2222222222222222222222222's!

Give him at least one solid two where the D cannot sag off, and I have no doubt he will get to the goal! Again, we need 222222222222222222222222222222222222222222's!

Jamie has a 2, a great 2.

2+ million a year to stink up the place.
