Just watched Kithcart's summer mixtape. I was impressed. Many will say that everyone looks good on a highlight reel, but while everyone scores on every play, many highlight reels are actually not that impressive; nothing special stands out.

With Kithcart, he displays quickness and a handle that look like they will translate to the college game. On play after play, he showed some incredible moves attacking the lane and scoring, often attacking the bigs, and getting banged at the rim and still finishing.

Take a look if you haven't already. There has been talk that Pitt whiffed on better PGs, so I wasn't expecting to see that much, and was pleasantly surprised. See what you think.

I was down on him at first, but once I started drilling into him, watching every video I could and reading up on him, he grew on me.
I saw this clip last week and was going to post it, but it got taken down.
Agree that he looks REALLY impressive in it.
He grows on you, and I still think legitimately they had him as their third guy they liked the most that they had any shot at.

The highlights had him either driving to the hoop or pulling up to shoot. Hard to tell much about his passing, rebounding, or defense. Still, I liked what I saw. Excellent body control and awareness of the basket on the drives. Nice quick release and, again, body control on the shots. Thanks for posting.

I watched a few of his full game videos. He plays a good floor game, is definitely the leader of his team on the court and passes well in addition to all the things that are evident in the highlight. I like him more than I did originally as well.

Ive read a number of different prep hoops "gurus" who really talk up his defense.

I think that was a big part of why they really liked him and also white, imo their vision was having those two and really get back to playing tough straight up man on jamie dixon defense again.

I'd thought the same thing. So I went back and looked at Josh's video. He looked good too, but the competition he was playing against looked really small and soft. JK was going against guys who were bigger, and actually looked like they could and were trying to play D.

For either though, its ultimately a matter of growth. It didn't happen for Josh at Pitt; maybe we'll see it at Indiana. Hopefully we'll see it with JK at Pitt.
