Kid clearly had a bad game after looking like he was making some nice progress. Perhaps it’s just a coincidence but most of his bad games have come when it’s been raining. He just doesn’t look confident throwing the ball in the rain.

Also he once again looked like he had happy feet. This despite the fact that the Ol did a decent job protecting him. Yeah his receivers didn’t help but it seemed like Whipple lost confidence in him as the game wore on.

will be interesting to see if he can bounce back from this game. I still think Patti is the better qb because I think he has better pocket presence but it’s clear Whipple and Duzz are all in on Pickett. I’m just note sure he’s good enough for Pitt to Maximize the window they have next year to have a special year

He is not a super accurate passer, and our TEs are absolutely horrible. None of them can catch

True, but Matthews, Ffrench and Mack also all had really bad key drops. Has to be hard as a QB to gain confidence in-game when even the simple ones are dropped/fumbled, usually in pressure situations.

Yeah, none of our receivers are "elite". Whipple puts them in fantastic shape to be elite, but they simply are not. Coaching made them decent to good.

No. Dropped passes are the Coach's or QB's fault.

He threw one horrible pick. He fumbled a fake hand off, he took a sack on 2 and 7 instead of throwing the ball out of the endzone, he ran into the RB ON 2ND and goal on the last FG drive.
The tight ends stink. Mack had a perfectly thrown pass hit him in the facemask.
Ken had a terrible day and his receivers made it horrendous....don't forget Mack fumbling simply because he was falling.

For whatever reason, this offense has its head up its rectum.

He's a decent college QB. However, much like Marino he's proven to be instant grits when you add water.

I like the offense. Whipple is a great offensive coach. Its the head coachs fault making all these safe gutless calls with the game on the line

1. The game was NOT on the line at that point. There was 7+ minutes left in the game. If Pitt goes for it and doesn’t make it, the board goes berserk.

2. Even if Pitt goes for it and makes a TD, it wouldn’t have mattered because Miami scored a TD.

It was the right decision...

Who cares about the board.

The right decision was to go for 4th and one.
Score or make them start from the one.

The game situation would be different from hoho it finished up.

Miami scoring is totally irrelevant .

Kenny had a bad day, but is a good COLLEGE QB. Also Mathews who I love and think should start (every time they line up a TE) had a bad day...drops. Lastly, Ffrench needs to be elite for us to win (that includes special teams) and he has been above average to good.

wrong. you have to put points on the board and take the lead at that point.anything other decision would be idiotic

Its exasperating.
KP was below average, but the drops are so pervasive. Davis leaves yards on the field almost every run, Carter got tripped up to easily a few times. PENALTIES. You want to like Whipples offense, but it has absolutely no flow.

if Pitt scores on the goal line so that a FG wouldn’t have beaten them, they could have played D on that last drive very differently. The argument that since Miami ultimately scored a TD means the goal line sequence was immaterial is pure nonsense.

Not much talk about christadoulo with a 32 yard punt at the end.

A better punt and I wonder if Miami would win? I'm thinking they line up for a game winning FG, with absolutely no certainty their K would make it

He was bad all day.

I have a bigger issue with the play calling when we had the ball and were leading 12-10. If you get a first down or two, then you more than likely win the game as well. Miami is forced to use their TO’s, and start inside their 20 with little time.

Agree.

One play we havent seen all year is a Pickett bootleg. What better time than right there on 3rd down to get the first.

Remember when this board crucified Chryst for poor QB recruiting? Pickett makes voytik look good.

Was blitzing on 3rd down the right decision on the go ahead td for Miami?
Is anyone complaining about an aggressive decision ?
Nope
