I would say Van Pelt too, but Palko might be a better comp.Dare I say since Van Pelt?
From the Cheap Seats; yes you can. Hopefully the offense is this good when we play someone our own size. H2PDare I say since Van Pelt?
I thought Peterman was pretty freaking good???
Back to back turnovers since this thread started
Peterman was to pitt football what Brad Wanamaker was to Pitt hoops. Both were studs in pitt uniforms and under appreciated by many.I thought Peterman was pretty freaking good???

I agree - I don’t remember A. Van Pelt being as mobile as KP. But so far, I think KP looks more accurate than Palio.Pickett’s game reminds me of Palko the most.
I think Palko suffered being poor pass blocking. 9 sacks against Utah in the Fiesta Bowl.I never drank the Palko Kool-aid like others. He was a decent local product...nothing more
Yeah-I thought Peterman was pretty freaking good???
Yeah-
Pickett delivers a zippy pass that reminded me of peterman
13 for 13Yeah except I think he's also more accurate than Peterman, I think pickett hit his first 10 in a row and it wasn't like the receivers were making diving catches. Usually right on the money. Also showed decent avoidance of pass rush
Nice comeback against a bad MAC team. LoBue was one of the worst P5 hires in recent memory. Not a bad analogy.
I prefer Kevin Stallings = Lovie Smith, but Illinois had a nice comeback today so I will give Lovie a break for now.

He’s Pitt’s best O player but to start comparing him as the best since whoever
That’s ridiculous at this stage.
Yeah it isNo it isn't. I think Pickett is a pretty good QB. Time will tell but in my experience watching college football for decades now, he appear to be the best Pitt has had for a long time.
You understand the context is best since-He had a very good game throwing on the roll...
Imo looked shakey in the pocket.
And his decision to try to high hurdle 7’ if repeated will result in our second team QB seeing time...

I realize he has 2 starts and one was against a totally inferior product ...You understand the context is best since-
And the most often suggestions are Palko and peterman-
So it’s not really high praise-
More an indication of how average at best our q.b play has been recently.
I mean kevan Smith, bostic, tino, voytik, stull, max Browne and god help me Ben dinucci.
I mean - sheesh
Which was what to do with his skills?I realize he has 2 starts and one was against a totally inferior product ...
Rutherford has never gotten much love around here. Folks were always calling for Palko to take his job.Rutherford..yes he had Fitz but dude made plays AND put up numbers!
Rutherford was very lucky to have Fitz. Otherwise he would have been just average. I wish he wouldn't have put on so much weight and had been a better dual threat QB.Rutherford has never gotten much love around here. Folks were always calling for Palko to take his job.
