is shaler that bad? that is why the wpial investigates these transfers because they always "coincidentally" transfer to schools that have great teams

i just pointed out PR is the new gateway and you got all salty, i don't care enough to think of it as a "travesty" just telling it how it is

You're alleging PR is recruiting. I corrected your ill informed statement.

You are wrong. Revis did not attend any big camps. He would have been a 4 or 5 star if he did. Hamlin was not as good as Revis as a Jr/Sr in HS, and obviously is not as good in college.
This guy simply and correctly states the established fact that Hamlin was a higher rated recruit than Revis--he never says Hamlin was a better player--,and you say he's "wrong" because Revis "would have" been a higher rated player than Hamlin but he didn't go to any combine camps??????

You serious Clark?

I have no problem when a family buys a home and moves into a different school district - even if it's for athletic reasons.

What I do object to is the kid who moves-in with an aunt, grandparent, or the obscure "guardian". Let the kid get his education, but if athletics are the actual motive, then he should have to sit out.

Try to keep up if you want to be a smart ass. The argument was "ranked higher" vs "better prospect". Anybody that watched both guys play as Seniors knew Revis was a better prospect.

Ok I'll try to keep up. Meanwhile why don't you look up the definition of "prospect"-the noun that is.

revis was not considered to be a better prospect in high school, whether he went to a camp or not the fact remains hamlin was ranked higher

in fact the talk was he might play basketball in college, basketball wasn't forgotten until he had a great freshman year at pitt

and lets not try and rewrite history, nobody was predicting football greatness for revis at all until he tore it up in the state title game

I don't know many private schools that have palaces in which to play like PR does..maybe I'm wrong.

LOL this always the argument used to support private schools, those poor private school kids are at a "disadvantage" because they have to travel a few more miles down the road for their home games...

Jay DiNucci has had the house in PR since 2000

Jim Jurkovec bought his house in 2006

Thomas and Jordan Burns:
They have no parents. Mother deceased and father in a California prison. It only makes sense to move in with Artie who is a millionaire.

Grant Carrigan;":
This kid has lived everywhere.

Kenny White:
Pure football transfer for football. They should be embarassed for having him on the team.

Anybody else?

excellent stalking skills

the gateway comment was a bit tongue in cheek, it is quite the coincidence though that suddenly pine richland is the destination school in the wpial once they have a title contender

gateway has gone back to mediocrity so none of these kids want to play there

I watched Bishop Watterson play Olentangy Orange last week and a Dad of one of the Orange players noted to me that there was no way you can compete against the huge suburban schools.
You just aren't smart enough to get the big picture. That's ok.

People that coached him in HS and recruiters that saw him play in person predicted greatness. There is no rewriting history.

Wow, still on this... your're really butt hurt aren't you? I think we've established that Kenny White is the only questionable transfer.

haha no, me proving it only means i'm a stalker. He's unaware of the rate at which the Pine Richland school district was/is growing. He's unaware that the lower level schools had to park trailors to make temporary classrooms because their construction couldn't keep up with expansion.

What makes you think a public school will remain great forever? Woody high, Penn Hill, North Allegheny, North Hills....all high enrollment schools that end up sucking for a period of time. Pine Richland will end up sucking also. Central Catholic on the other hand....ya they don't recruit, they just remain great forever....hahaha

Central has remained great, but not South, north or BC. Nothing lasts forever, but I'll put money on the NA s of the world outperforming most other school districts for decades.

NA is almost twice the size of PR. Central is bigger when looking at male enrollment, and has the benefits of a private of where the enrollment comes from. Both of them should always be good.

PR was a good AAA team years ago. When they moved up into quad A they struggled for years. They didn't win until Kasper was their coach and Dinucci was a Sr. in 2014. Then they handed the keys to Jurkovec.

They have one of the smallest 6A enrollments. It's going to be really tough to sustain.

might want to check out PCC's record in the 80's & 90's and then rethink the "forever" statement. Think maybe it is coaching instead?

why let a fact get in the way of an excuse?

Don't be a fool and think that Central doesn't offer football players free tuition to play there. It has happened and continues to happen.

Paskorz was very open about it with teamates his senior year and cause major locker room issues his Junior year when the recruitment began.

Who said I felt that way?

butthurt? no i couldn't care less, just telling it how it is

you are the one that is butthurt, are you a PR guy or what? why else would you be so butthurt

that's what everybody says when a person exceeds expectations

"i always believed in him", yeah you just never told anybody that before they achieved their greatness LOL

he didn't have a ton of offers so no recruiters did not see future greatness

Like I said earlier - the coaches at Aliquippa knew he was a superstar and so did the recruiters that saw him play live. PSU and WVU wanted him badly.

Actually you do care because you brought it up, and you'd actually have to know what you're talking about to be "just telling it how it is".

finished 6-2-2 that year, 4th place. Got hot in the playoffs and still lost to USC in WPIAL final. Hardly the stuff of legends.

Nice try though Brad, thanks for playing. Try again next time

the first state champ in Pa's largest classification

when you're champs nobody cares about what meaningless games you lost, unless they are trying to make a dumb argument on the net LOL

LOL so you post an article written several years AFTER his high school career to prove your point

he was ranked lower than hamlin, that is fact no matter how wrong the rankings were
Your reading comprehension is close to a 2nd grade level. Congrats.

you care more because my posts anger you, i couldn't care less whether you think i know what i'm talking about or not

but ok you win PR doesn't coincidentally have a couple of high profile transfers once they became the best team
