What's the point of this thread?
I knew what you meant and I agreeNothing really. Just got the sense that PSU felt left out of the whole Pittsburgh strong thing we did with the helmets and just seemed like a strange coincidence for the Thon sticker to suddenly pop up on the helmet.
guys, guys, this is simple...do what I do...you can do good and only offend PSU folk as they really have no answer to it...I knew what you meant and I agree
Never thought of it this way, you're actually right. Of course it takes them a massacre where 11 died in the state for them to start thinking about advertising for something unrelated. kind of sick if you ask meNothing really. As I explained in my earlier post, this was in the works since this past April.
thanks for clearing that up, timing just seemed a little odd.
It’s hilarious that Penn State considers one sticker a big “change of uniform “
Worst uniform in college football....bar none...
Absolutely worst unimaginative pos uniform ever
Sears Wishbook 1957 has better uniforms..”in color”
Cultists are up at 12:30 am just to make these kinds of posts on message boards of teams they root against. So diligent and aware on all things 24/7 except shower slapping sounds...As in most things, opinions differ. NBC Sports ranked the top 25 college football uniforms and put Penn State at #2, saying this:
2) Penn State
No school has stayed truer to its colors than the Nittany Lions of Penn State. The jersey doesn't have any crazy logos or any neon; the royal blue and white speak for themselves. Penn State trots out the same look week after week, year after year, and it's the definition of a classic. One of the most historic uniforms in all of sports. We are...#2 in the College Football uniform power rankings.

kinda gay...not that there is anything wrong with that...I like most of the classic big time uniforms. USC, Michigan, Alabama, etc. PSU's is just too over the top boring for me. I do like that they don't have the players names on them though.
Favorite college football uniform not related to Pitt:
In the end, your post says more about you than it does about me. Oh, shut up Alice! Now, that type of response does say a lot about me.... My post went to cultism..."sect generally considered to be extremist or false, with its followers often living in an unconventional manner " applies to a dude who is online after midnight posting on a fan website where he is not a fan defending a freaking uniform only to get up in the morning and whine about getting called out for doing so with a soliloquy about his family history.....As I have stated on this board a number of times, I am a Penn State grad, but my wife is a Pitt alum, as are many of my good friends. I have posted here, off and on, since the Pitt/Penn State game, and have been nothing but respectful of other posters and PItt in general. Those who have visited Penn State board know that my posts there are also respectful of both the University of Pittsburgh and its football team. I responded to a post which called Penn State uniforms the Worst uniform in college football....bar none... I did not attack the poster. My response was a simple observation that opinions differ and I gave an example from a reputable source, NBC sports, that reflected that. In return, I received an ad hominem attack from you. It would be very easy for me to respond in kind. I am more than capable of doing so. Instead, I will simply put you on ignore and move on. In the end, your post says more about you than it does about me.

I was thinking rainbow motif , but I do agree with your assertion...
Well, I know positive stereotypes are now frowned upon as much as negative ones, but let's not pretend gay men know nothing about fashion.
NBC was wrong
The uniform is the definition of boring as hell
Michigan is classic and immediately identifiable
Script Pitt also classic see above
Heck ND has a classic uniform but also the sense to mix it up from time to time
PSU is just boring with a bunch of cult members who defend it as “classic “....
Coed? Damn dude, why did't you say so earlier?.That is like the Tiger Beat of uniform ranking publications. Sorry, man I had you all wrong. If you can spend the time on a Pitt message board not being a Pitt fan from midnight until now and rock the "bold" with bulleted points from publications such as Coed who the hell am I to label you as some sort of deranged cult member.Again, it is a matter of opinion. I respect yours in saying it's boring. If NBC is one of those "cult members", I guess so is NFL.com that rated it #1 in 2014.
1. Penn State's classic style
There's just something great about seeing seeing the clean lines and classic look of the Nittany Lions once the team will take the field with a white-out at Beaver Stadium. The design has changed little over the years, but there have been some slight tweaks the last few seasons. Notably, former head coach Bill O'Brien added names to the back -- but that might be a decision James Franklin will reverse in 2014. Until Penn State takes the field, we'll wonder what the exact look will be this year. But, as always, we'll have a good idea given the history of the blue and white.
Or, Coed, that rated Penn State's uniforms 3rd best of All time just this year.

3. Penn State
Something about Penn State’s uniforms just feels like Saturday football, no matter how plain they may be. While most college football teams show their mascots or unique designs on their helmets, the Nittany Lions sport all white helmets, making their uniforms jump out in a crowd. Nothing about these uniforms really jump out but that doesn’t stop Penn State from being one of the most recognizable teams in the entire nation.
There are lots more examples, so I could go on, but to what purpose. I understand some people find them boring, but dismissing all those who like them as "cultists" is ludicrous. I'll add you to my ignore list and move on.

Your true and original colors are Dark Pink and Black. You have NOT stayed true to them. PSU does not put names on uniforms because, as in the movie Rollerball, individualism must be subordinated to the institutional hierarchy.
Kinda like a Jim Jones "Grand Experiment".
These are simple observations and not ad hominem fallacies. My
respect for you and The Farmers High School of Pennsylvania knows no bounds. We are truly blessed to have such a temperate, respectful, altruistic, scholarly apologist condescend to correct our ignorance.
BTW, Please continue to educate us on your family, background, friendships and activities. The scarcity of self references in your 14 line rebuttal (only 9 I's, 5 my's and a me) is truly praiseworthy.
I am deeply heartbroken by the brutal and savage assault visited upon you. Hopefully, perhaps following years of therapy, you may be able to pick up the threads of your previous stellar life.
Best regards to you and your noble, honorable, unassailable and elite school.
And please, please, please don't add me to your ignore list! That divine punishment is unthinkable!
