Every prediction on 247 today has him switching his commitment to Pitt from South Carolina. Kid is a big time back. Goes to school with D. Butler, and went to school last year with Tucker, another Pitt commit. Butler compares him to Zeke Elliott. Watching his film, I can see why that's who he's being compared to.

Has offers from Miami, FL, FSU, Ohio State, Michigan, etc.

Description from a south Florida piece:
SCOUTING: Easily one of the top running backs in the nation, this quality talent, who comes in from Plantation American Heritage for his final season with the Raiders, has proven – against all kinds of competition – that he is a complete back. Committed to the University of South Carolina, Bryan is one of those difference makers that you can see from the first time he carries the ball. He’s quick, strong and hits the holes faster than anyone in this current class. Watching him in his spring game, there was no getting around the fact that he is one of those elite prospects. College coaches who have watched him have talked about his gift of running the ball. Unlike many runners, he does not go down on the first hit and is strong and durable enough to break away from arm tackles. Watch him play and you will see what everyone has been talking about all along. Bryan is a big-time football talent who has the chance this year to even get better.

Thanks for the input !

His "star" has faded a bit, and the sense is that he might be getting pinched out at sc.

He is a step down from Davis, but would be a nice second back to Sibley in this class, has a little more giddy up.

His top 5 was of UM, UF, FSU, USC (carolina) and LSU

I am sure his 'stock' dropped when he committed to USC haha

and two of his late official visits were to be oregon state and iowa. its not by accident, there is a reason.

I know the Pitt naysayers on this site just hate when kids consider Pitt over top programs. Same thing happened to Sibley, he was Mr. Ohio football, and underarmor game participant, but of course he only chose Pitt cause that is all he had to commit to. Comical really.

OFFS, that isn't the point.

It just is not having over-inflated expectations of what a kid may be.

He would be a real solid pickup, but it is better to be honest about him than getting people all geeked up and then him probably not being the superstar the "offer" sheet might indicate.

Except that is the truth. Sibley didn't have a committable offer to UM and tOSU didn't really want him and pushed him to find a spot elsewhere. They had already told him the best they could do was a greyshirt. That doesn't mean the kid can't be good. It just means those schools no longer wanted to give him a place in their recruiting class.

When a school pulls away from a kid because they got a kid they rate/like better, it does not lessen the kid. The fact that he go an offer from then to begin with shows what caliber of talent he is. Now I wouldn't say "Pitt got him over schools x, y, z". I use offer list to show me talent level.

Any well regarded offensive player who would commit to us now could only be a good thing in the most normal situation, but would be especially encouraging given our OC situation. I said a few days back that the only likely good scenario in the delay is that they do indeed have a guy, but fir whatever reason are holding back ... but that if this was indeed happening, that hopefully they're keeping recruits and their families assured and in the know. A commit like this, if came to pass, would help assure FANS too.

Yeah, but that isn't really what happened with Sibley or what happens with many kids. Yes, offer list is a great way to get a gauge of talent and the competition to land them. However, a lot of these kids list "offers" which were either never really offers or were pulled long, long before they make a decision or before the schools even "fill" that position spot. And there are obviously situations where kids get offers and either commit or try to commit and are pushed away when the schools get further down the evaluation process and identify other prospects.

Another good example is Thayer Munford. People on here got excited about his Alabama offer. There was never a point he had an offer he could accept at Alabama.

Similarly, Lamont Wade had a lot of offers and is very highly rated, but several big programs were not going to take him and "offered" him as a backup plan if things went way wrong.

Pointing out the truths involved, doesn't mean you are a "Pitt hater" just because others don't understand the game or refuse to be honest.

Well, that isnt the point either. We typically get 4 star backs... how often to they work out? We certainly run the gamut

Dion Lewis 3 stars
James Conner 3 stars
Ray Graham was 4 stars
Shady McCoy 4 stars

Many others, fact is, I could care less what people think. We had arguably the best back in the nation last year, or at least I wouldnt have traded him for anyone, and he was lightly recruited. I trust not only the coaches to recruit, but just seems we get good RBs and get them consistently.

After my nephew graduated from Kent St. I encouraged him to move to Florida as he would quickly get a job teaching and coaching. 10 years later he is a Defensive coach as part on staff as part of traditionally strong Venice HS team.

FWIW: Venice faced both respective high schools' for Davis and Bryan this year. His input is that Bryan had really good vision and is a tough runner. He thought he was the better of the 2 backs Aquinas had this year. In relation to Davis though he thought Davis was more dynamic...more explosive and a bigger back and more dangerous open field runner. Both are good quality D1 prospects.

I think what happened here is the kid had a lot of offers early in his career but didn't progress like many thought so that is why they backed off.

Great to have insight from an opponent of both players.

Yep. Both cases. Happens all the time. It does not mean the kid can't be a good player down the road.

Yep doesn't mean he can't be. Maybe with a college workout program he develops like people thought he could to warrant all those offers.

Offers and being actively recruiting are different. Like Lane Kiffen offered that 8th grader and he eventually ended up at WVU. They didn't beat out USC for him.

If a school offers after someone's sophomore year and don't progress they might now be able to commit there their Senior year. They showed something to gain that offer in the first place though. We just got to be realistic about it.

I dont know the kid, and havent read anything about him, since he is a relatively new prospect for us, but, has someone posted documentation that his scholarships were pulled from the other schools??
