Larry Fitzgerald A Steeler

We all love Fitz, but this is a business decision, not a decision of the heart. Fitz can't produce like AB. He's nearing the end of his career because he is declining, not peaking. He had well under 1,000 yards (730 receiving, and 6 TDs. AB had 15 TDs and 1300 yards receiving. A wise business decision to replace AB is not about love of a former Pitt player who is unable to produce even half of AB, but about someone who can come closer to AB stats.

First I believe AB's production will start going down sooner than later. 2nd I think Juju's time is here not coming. He will be the 1 WR to replace AB. I believe Fitz would be a he'll of a 2 WR.

I don't think Julio Jones, DeAndre Hopkins, Mike Evans, and Michael Thomas are available. You're wanting them to replace an all time great at his peak and expect the same results from his replacement.

I'd sign Fitz and draft a Paris Campbell who I think is a dynamic athlete that can return kicks and maybe over time develop into a good wr.

Bye bye Hunter and Switzer.
Dress JuJu, Fitz, Rogers as your top 3 and have Campbell and Washington battle it out for 4/5 slot. No need to keep DHB for his special teams abilities, guys like Allen, Dangerfield etc can take that spot.

I love Fitz but he's actually too much like JuJu (and much older). And they'd be smarting over the nearly 7 mil in money they'd be absorbing from dumping Brown. Fitz even on the downside would command too much. They'd look to get a good receiver cheap in the draft, and likely could.

The best option by far is to work things out with Brown.
 
Don’t think a good player like fitz would want to play on such a terrible team that has a rapist QB

The problem with signing him is that (assuming Brown leaves) they need someone that can stretch the field, not another slot type guy. Assuming they’d like Washington to fill that role, but he looked lost at times this year and would have to make a giant leap forward in year 2 to be a real threat.

And even if he were available, I would think Fitz would go somewhere to win a SB.

I may be in the minority, but sans Bell and Brown and still no replacement for Shazier the window is too far shut for the Steelers.

It is the best option.
But an even better option is to work it out with AB, have Bell decide that he really wants to win a Super bowl, and doesn’t care about money, and signs for 6 million a year. Then some top free agent defensive players decide they want to play for the Steelers at below market.
That’s a great option, and as about as likely as working it out with Brown.

ju ju, fitz, as your number 1 and 2? Hmm. Maybe. If James Washington can turn into anything, it might work.

I agree. Would anyone really trade Brown for Fitz even up? I don't think so at this point in time.
 
AB is not the way to win a superbowl. That guy divides the locker room and quits on his team .
I would love Larry on the Steelers but he probably wont be available.

Nobody can produce like AB. Nobody is saying the guy would catch 100 passes.
 
2015 - 109 catches
2016 - 107 catches
2017 - 109 catches

It isn’t a stretch to think he could get 100 catches or close to it with Big Ben as his QB. He’s an outstanding blocker as well.

Lol, sure, if that’s what you need to tell yourself to keep Fitz on that moral pedestal in your mind, go with that.

Ben raped the girl, Harrison beats his woman but Larry fitz is a victim of domestic violence. Lol, you guys are beautiful.

The only difference between ray rice and Larry fitz is one was smart enough to not get caught on camera.
