Regression to the Mean for BOTH teams (except in reverse).
We were way beyond normal both in our performance and our stats. in the first half... 50+ %
on threes (way beyond normal). Shots, assists, REBOUNDING,few mistakes, etc....all
way beyond normal. 2n'd half.....need I say it? we regressed back to the mean....our mean
that is.

NCSt.....Almost the same thing!; Except they were way BELOW their norm in the first half. WE looked like the varsity while they looked like the JV (there's a first for ya, LOL)
2nd half...whole different story, they had already regressed in the first half. They then returned
to what was normal for them against a team like us and played the way they normally would.
This was a statistician's dream game.

Hopefully not a regression to the mean for the entire program where Howland/Dixon was the golden era.

It is even worse than that. We have dropped far below the pre-Howland mean. We are closer to the bad late 1960's pre-Buzz Ridl team that only won two games and lost a game to Carnegie-Mellon than we are to the pre-Howland mean of play. We need to find another Howland-type and find him fast.
