Get a load of this......Fairbanks and Stafford bring it home this week. I've said this before.....it just never gets old! Fairbanks is making a case to be named ACC setter of the year....and how about Stafford....Freshman of the Week and Offensive Player of the Week.....how many times have we seen that ever happen?

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Pitt's Torrey Stafford was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Volleyball Offensive Player and Freshman of the Week, while Miami's Janice Leao earned Defensive Player of the Week laurels and the Panthers' Rachel Fairbanks garnered back-to-back Setter of the Week honors.

I've watched Fairbanks a number of times. I gotta believe she's a
pure athlete. I think she'd excel in whatever sport she concentrated
on playing. Those who've seen her play in person, what do you think?

As talented as Stafford and Babcock are, Pitt goes as Rachel goes. She drives this team. And yes, I think she'd be great in any sport.

Not I. In fact she'd probably be a great Free Safety, maybe even
a great skill position player, WR or RB. Bottom line, she's an
athlete and a damn good one.

No, I've never seen her do that becuse I'm not
there in person, but I believe you. What I do
see is an athlete who just isn't good at her
position.I also see some obvious intangibles:
toughness, tenacity, willingness to go all out.
Obviously she's physically co ordinated, but
she seems to have that inner drive to excel.
Imo she has that often talked about , "IT."
