I’m beginning to think we are conditioned to believe that Pitt DEs need to be great at sacks and TFLs for Pitt’s defense to be good. That appeared to be case under PN and frankly, the LB play seemed relatively irrelevant to whether Pitt’s D could or would be “good.”

With Brandon George now looking like a very effective MLB, yet is still considered the 3rd best LB on the team, and Pitt’s D shutting down UNC and becoming a 4th quarter force, can we now say it can be “either” the LBs or DEs being elite for Pitt’s D to be good?
