Liberty beat Baylor 48 - 45

They were 34 point favorites. USF barely held on as 36 point chalk.

Praise the Lord!

Liberty is moving up to 1A but no conference will take them due to some of their controversial ultra-conservative moral codes and rules so they were granted an exemption to play as an Independent.

It will be interesting to see if they can develop any kind of a BYU of the East-type fansbase with Evangelicals.

Remember when Temple beat PSU and some of them wanted Rhule instead of Franklin.

Now look where we are...
Even when the most despicable scandal occurs PS ends up on the better end in the long run because they are willing to do anything to win football games.

Biggest upset of the day, and (I think) the biggest pointspread dog ever, Howard defeated 46 point favorite UNLV. Don't ever remember one bigger than Stanford beating USC as around a 37 point underdog.

I don't see what the big surprise is. After the $h1zz hit the fan at Baylor they lost lots of talent. They'll take their lumps and will take a few yrs to get back...if ever. I don't know if Ruhle's the answer but heck, he's been there less than a year while Franklin's just starting his 4th. Hardly a fair comparison...but one worthy of nimrods.

Gotta figure Franklin is in a better position to succeed at PSU as opposed to Rhule in Baylor. But it's still early, I know.
