You have to be in the game to be torched. Narduzzi told the truth. If Wade could play, he would be starting in that secondary this year. Too small to be a safety in my opinion. Pitt was right to pass on him.
He played. Bad angle on the kick return at 46 seconds. Beat to the outside by the QB on long run at 4:50. Late with deep help on a TD pass at 5:16.
Frankly, Narduzzi was kind. He could have been honest and said, "yeah he played a little and didn't look very good."

No need to act like PSU fans do. Of course Pitt wanted Wade. He was from a Pitt pipeline school and he was a talented kid. Now I will say that he got too full of himself and thought he was too good for Pitt which pissed me off. That stunt with him and Sanders flexing in their PSU gear while standing on the Pitt logo was a low class, dickhead move.
Duzz was asked a question and he answered it honestly. He didn't say Wade stinks or played poorly. He said he really didn't see him out there too much. That's just being real and honest. Wade lacks ideal size for big time football. Hope he gets his degree so he can break free of Clairton.

It happens again and again... if a kid from Pittsburgh makes a spectacle out of himself and acts like an idiot during recruiting, he is going to UPS or Miami, or not Pitt. If a kid is quiet, nice, hard working, seems like more often than not he goes to Pitt (or Notre Dame). Not 100%, but that seems to be the trend,
By the way, agree, of ocurse Pitt wanted Wade, and I thought he would be a great addition at the time as well. Him and Ford had a rivalry going though, and it seemed unlikely we were getting both.
The only safety I can recall who was that short that played Big was Bob Sanders from Iowa by way of Erie. He had a good pro career also with the Colts.
I love that they did this. Kind of negates the "Just another game" company line.
