He is p***** and he's telling it like it is. Gone are the days of: "It was neat. That's what you love about football. I appreciate the players playing."

For the first time in a long time, our HC seemed more upset about losing than me. Think about that. It seriously p***** me off to turn on a Chryst presser and him seem like he didnt give a ****. Narduzzi looked like he wanted to punch somebody.

I think he's got to be a little more careful with what he says in the media, especially the comment about Chaney but I always respected coaches who arent afraid to tell it like it is.

Narduzzi is a real football coach. He's winning without Conner and found some way to have us in that game down to the final minute against a team vastly superior. He needs a few years to recruit better players.......but that's not the easiest job at Pitt. If he can even get Wanny-level classes, I think we'll win some division titles.

Well it would help if we don't have another 2nd half collapse - tough schedule but it would be pretty devastating to go from 6-1 to 6-6 yet again.

That won't happen PittPoker.

Look I love Narduzzi and of course I HOPE it doesn't happen but remember, this is Pitt we're talking about - tough schedule plus bad offensive play calling and you never know.

1 thing I do know however is we have to stop coming out so damn flat like we have been the past couple of 1st halves. No excuse for that.

I wouldn't be surprised if we come back with a W next week, given that we have well over a week to prepare. I'm sure practices will be intense this week after the loss.

If I had to take a wild guess, I'd say we go 8-4. The Louisville game scares me.

Agree... Narduzzi is kick ass

Lets celebrate the moral victory of giving a press conference where someone looks mad!

No offense Kenny, who says we should celebrate? A loss is a loss, understood. However, a team is a reflection of their coach. You want the team to be mad and have a hatred for losing. This has lacked forever in the program. The only real emotion I've seen from a head coach at Pitt in the last 30 years was the day Wanny got fired.

This team was out of gas. The Dre's time off will do wonders... Also, Kangaroo's aren't supposed to talk nor should they be the offspring of Titleman.

Not sure if North Carolina was heads and shoulders above Pitt. I saw a defense that rebounded and only gave up 3 in the second half. However our offense was anemic. I put a lot of that on Chaneys shoulders for not playing the stud RB over the small jukey guys but also the predictable play calling. And there were critical penalties and missed opportunities.

I dont think UNC was much better at all.

Chaney has been holding us back all year. Narduzzi is catching on too, the screaming at him was not unwarranted. This is the only way I can sum up Chaney really. Good offensive mind, comes up with a good gameplan most every week. BUT, he calls horrible plays at even worse times. Not to mention even what Narduzzi was upset about, Chaney not getting the plays in in a timely fashion. I don't think the guy needs to be fired, but you seriously need to sit him down and tell him there are certain plays we are just flat out not going to run in the 4th quarter when we're trailing.

That is my assessment, too.
I saw a wore down team in syracuse and they went into last night with a half empty tank.
This is a modesty talented team that left all it had on the field in a string of emotional late game road wins.
I hope a day or two off and a few road extra days before nd helps them to recharge.

I know that Narduzzi lets Chaney run the offense, but they seriously need to be on the same page in game management. Maybe it's good that Conklin's up in the booth that we can't see any tirades on the headset.

Narduzzi been operating at a high level for such a long time now he expects it from the team and his coaches.

One of the most telling things to show that he was not on the same page as Duzz or the offense was at the end of the half when Peterman had the presence to motion with his hand to hurry up...

Also, while the color guy is whiny and nasally he was on point on Ford's catch. His knee was down with three seconds to go and the refs should have reset it to that point. That's another reason Duzz was pissed.

Personally, I also think they were hosed on the last pass. The defender boxed out guy out and that's illegal. More times than not that's going to draw a flag.

Lastly, Soto got dicked too with the face mask. That was the correct call but then the OL literally HELD him to the ground. Those penalties should have offset. I know this stuff b/c I live and breathe CFB. There were some egregious errors last night and Pitt paid dearly.

Well, he needed to be kick ass during the game, it's too late in the press conference
Well, PN WAS kick ass during the game. He was super animated throughout, and he clearly got the team fired up at halftime.
I agree with the OP. We have a coach that won't tolerate losing; you can tell he absolutely can't stand it. And he won't allow any excuses to make any loss more palatable. Chryst seemed to have an "oh well" attitude toward losing, but the players saw and heard a coach last night who won't put up with losing, that its a totally unacceptable outcome. He made them believe they can and will win, and it must happen no matter what.
This is a not a moral victory view, its a view of the same guy we saw when they were on the win streak. And damn, I'm so glad he's our coach.

The call that had me saying ..."That was just F&@king stupid" was the Peterman roll out to the short side of the field. Both receivers were literally out of bounds on the short side and there were no targets left.

Can someone please explain to me the rationale for the short side roll out? It makes no sense to me.
