Texas A&M baseball canceled a game with a low RPI opponent to protect their chance of hosting a regional. Years ago when Pitt was good at basketball, I suggested Pitt should cancel a game with someone for a similar reason. Maybe they were reading this board in 2011?

You love this? If I was the selection committee I'd purposely penalize them for doing this and announce that, and make 100% sure they don't host.

When you use something is stupid as RPI, you should expect teams to manipulate it. Remember all those MWC basketball teams playing multiple D2 games instead of lower D1s? That helped them get multiple bids
