Ok, we know his stats. We're aware of how he's a true pg. We all
can see how smooth the offense seems to be when he's on the
floor. Notice the lack of one on one today? The ball movemet
and the player movement was so much better today. REASON being
Carrington wasn't trying to run the show as the pg. All you have
to do is look at Carrington today and his last few games. Today
he was 5 Assist and 1 TO. A 5 A/1 T0 ratio is excellent for an
off guard. At Syracuse as the PG he had 5 Assists and 5 TO's.
That is awful. I posted again, that he needed to be moved to off
guard and time to get Lowe on the floor as the pg. He;s not a pg
and some of us have been saying it for weeks. Today with Lowe on
floor we saw a much less rushed Carrington, and saw the results.
A smooth running offense, and a really effective Bub despite them
playing tough on him. Great as Bub is, today a lot of it was due to
Lowe's presence on the floor letting Bub do what he's best at.

Spot on. Lowe's value as a PG can't be overstated. That offense with the ball movement and his assists is a thing of beauty that we haven't seen here for a long time. I hope when Capel and his staff look at the film, they'll realize that with or without Leggett, Lowe must be on the floor at PG for 30+ minutes a game. Move the other parts around, but keep Jaland out there as much as possible.

Thanks. Obviously we agree about Lowe. Carrington has to be elated,
because as an off guard he can be himself and not have to force it out
front. After that fiirst game triple double and a few games against
weak OC teams, there was taape on him. He was being scouted, and
he started to struggle. It's pretty simple, Lowe is a PG, Bub isn't, and
today they both played to their strengths. Bub owes Lowe a beer or two.

Lowe made Bub a better player and better teammate. That's what Lowe does...he makes everyone else better.

So do we give Capel any credit for developing Lowe this year? Dude was lost in first half of season. But this was Lville. Let’s see this stick on Tuesday night.

A flagrant foul on an accidental elbow? Kansas cooking. Disgraceful

That was about as bad a call as you will see.

Interestingly (or maybe not), I happened to watch some of the Lakers - Grizzlies game last night, and on a scramble for the ball on the floor LeBron James intentionally forearmed a player right in the head, and there was no call.

Or, well, technically that isn't correct, because the Memphis coach went ballistic (the play was right in front of him) and he got called for a technical.

Just goes to show, at all levels of basketball it helps the be the star/blue blood.

Where I'd give him some credit for not rushing him early in the
year. When I first watched Lowe, I posted more than once that
he was looking for his shot first, and passing second. I also
mentioned that I thought he might be feeling pressure trying
to keep up with Bub's early success. He's now playing to his
strengths, and he's playing within himself where he wssn't
early on. I'm sure if I noticed it LOL, Capel and the staff recognized
it. The talent was always there. Capel didn't suddenly discover it.
But let's give him some credit for bringing him along a little more slowly,
and getting him to play to his strengths.

This wasn't a one time thing for Lowe. It's been coming lately.
He also played pretty well against UNC. Game before against
Syracure in only 17 minutes he had 9 pts 4 Assista and O T0's.
That A/TO ratio is excellent, especially in a game where
everyone else was going one one. His minutes are now increasing
to today's 27 minutes. Those minutes have been increasing as
they should be. I'm not suggesting we're now one of the top
teams in the ACC. I'm talking about Lowe and his REAL value.

Said the other day, our best lineup is Lowe/Bub/Blake/GDG and take your pick/whoever is playing well that day. We didn't miss Ish today at all.

He has a nice shot as well.

Ish was certainly missed when Lowe was in foul trouble. There was no 3rd guard to bring in off the bench.

Yes, we did. Maybe not on offense, but we missed him on the defensive end and on the boards. With Ish, we win this game by 25.

Ish is our best defensive guard and would have done a better job on their guards than what we got. Louisville shot over 50% against us, with Ish, they don’t do that.

If Louisville wasnt so hot on 3s (10/21) we would have also won by 25-ish.

Just need to be happy we won a road game.

I only could see the highlights but geez, did Mike James miss a shot??? Didn't look like we could do anything on him.

Let’s give Capel a bit of credit for easing lowe so he’s set to be successful now

Lowe is pure PG- Carrington is a terrific combo guard with a great handle .
Its a terrific combo
