He would be an excellent choice for OC. The last time I saw him was the Fiesta Bowl we played in against Utah. He is going to be the next good coach from the Pittsburgh area, and will end up being a HC someday. He is currently the WR coach for the Packers, but has experience as an OC. He still has a fondness for Pitt and Pittsburgh. If you talk to Walt Harris, JD Brookhart, Mike McCarthy, or anyone else he has worked with they will give a ringing endorsement for him.

That would make for a strange situation as Pitt opens with the potential FCS champ YSU next year.
Would like to think we can do better than Shane Montgomery. Heck, some on this board believe we have big time cash to throw at a OC.
If you think we can or should do better, then who would u consider to be better?
He checks a lot of PN's boxes. I would expect a bigger name as well but when the dust settles he might be the name.
YSU was #7 in rushing offense and #22 in overall offense at their level. He has a lot of experience as OC and also some as a HC. He would be a solid hire. The question I'd have is how good of a recruiter is he.
He has a reputation as recruiter. After a slow start- YSU made some changes and got much better on offense as the season went on. They averaged over 40 a game in the 2nd half of the season including the Playoffs.
Jedd wasn't the play caller at Michigan I don't believe. He sucked calling plays for golden.
