I promised an update after I saw him the first game of the year.

He was out for 3 games with a knee injury but I have seen him 3x since.

Went up to Columbus to watch them play St. Ignatius..Big time competition

475 and 6 tds.....This kid gets better every game. saw the field really well, runs a 4.5 at 6'4" 215

We'll see but he looks damn good to me.

Nice. Thanks for the update. From what I remember, he hasn't played much QB before, correct? He seems to get better as the year wears on now that he is healthy.

Yes, this is his first year at QB. And his success is at the very highest level of HS, against a lot of future D1 players. He has the size and strength of Big Ben, with 4.5 speed to boot. A ridiculous prospect. A year or two's growth under Chaney and he could really be something. I laugh when he see 3-stars next to his name.

Appreciate the update - great numbers for MacVittie.

Can you tell us anything about your impression of his arm strength? Does he throw deep? Sure sounds like the real deal.

Go Pitt.

he has a tough game this weekend against St Eds from Cleveland. They are loaded and should be a tougher test than St Iggy was.

I havent seen him in person, but I do recall reports from scouts at one of the prospect camps he attended in the off season stating that his big arm was his strength. Reportedly his arm was as strong or stronger than any kid at the camp. It wasn't an elite camp, but there were some pretty good prospects there if a recall correctly.

Very impressive stats. Seems like just the kind of kid I expect to be here with Narduzzi in charge, a diamond in the rough type.
