I was not the biggest fan but he received a scholarship, got a free education at usc and pitt. That’s not too shabby.
I mean he got a free education at usc, something that aunt Becky paid over 300k for with her daughter.
Kid seems level headed and has a good perspective on life. If not starting at qb for USC is the worst thing to happen to someone, I don’t feel too bad.
Good luck to him
That's a good observation. Often we have not seen such startling difference from our QBs from level to level. Some might do a bit better against G5 than P5, but not a total 180 like he showed vs Rice compared to our more advanced opponents. As i recall he was essentially perfect in that Rice game.Just my opinion but he would have been a star QB in a league like CUSA or something like that. For example, he picked apart the RICE defense in 2017. Reason being there was limited pass rush from the opponent. That pace of play seemed to suite his processing abilities.
Doesn't work that way in the ACC or PAC 12, though.
and he was a helluva lot better crew rower than her also...I was not the biggest fan but he received a scholarship, got a free education at usc and pitt. That’s not too shabby.

That $300,000 was just to gain admission; add another $300,000 plus, for four years at USC.I was not the biggest fan but he received a scholarship, got a free education at usc and pitt. That’s not too shabby.

Being able to perform under pressure, both physical (pass rush), and mental, is what separates the star players from the crowd. Most of the players who make it to D-1 have at least some talent, but can you perform when Aaron Donald is roaring towards you, and you know you're gonna get hit? Can you make the pass when it's 4th and 10, and your team is down by 4 points, with 50 seconds left in the game? The guys who can, are the ones you see playing in January, including some who are only modestly gifted, but have that ability to perform under pressure. Conversely, there are plenty of guys who have arms like a cannon, and who can run like a deer, but crumble when the heat is on. They don't make it.Just my opinion but he would have been a star QB in a league like CUSA or something like that. For example, he picked apart the RICE defense in 2017.
