Mel kiper on Mike and Mike regarding franklin

True. But Meyer and Harbough are spoken for. I wish psu would hire Saban but that's a pipe dream. He's spoken for as well. Tressel isn't coming back coaching.
I meant PSu could find their own Meyer/Saban/Harbaugh type of Coach, and that New Coach could take Franklin's recruits and win 10 games with them, like Harbaugh did last year. I did not mean to imply that Meyer or Harbaugh would go to Penn State.

I think once the PSU Criminal Trials and Civil Lawsuits are dealt with or settled, Penn State Program is strong enough to attract a Great Coach, if Franklin has trouble this and next year?

It will be interesting to see if Franklin's New Offense under OC Moorhead with RBs Barkley/Robinson?Sanders and Three Tough Speedy Wideouts and a Running QB can provide the Offense needed to win 8 or 9 games?

We'll see. I said before the year started last year that anything less than 8-4 will be unacceptable and will affect recruiting and guess what's happening. Exactly that! I'm not settling for anything less than 9 wins next year. 9-3 plus a bowl win to make 10-3 overall will help for the future under the circumstances of recovering from harsh penalties. But, on the other hand, if it wasn't for the scandal and penalties and joe PA would've ended his career normally or better yet retired 10 years ago, 9-3 would be a bad year under Franklin right now. But, if Franklin fails to win 9 games in 2016 and does another 7-5 or worse, he'll be lucky to keep his job in 2017. The goal for penn state football is to be elite like the Bamas, Michigan's, ohio sts, Clemsons . And to be elite, you can't go 8-4 or worse every year. Every year, they need to win 10 games or more. It's not asking for a lot. You see osu , alabama and Clemson win more than 10 every year., right? As long as you have the coaches and a lot of 4 and 5 star recruits, you will built a solid team every year. And right now, I'm not so sure if Franklin is that type of elite coach like Saban is

Been told that too.

Can happen under the right coach!

Agree, few are close to Saban as far as I am concern.

I work with big time PSU fans. I told them that Franklin would be bad and bring bad things to their program. Go look at his record at Vandy. I've done this and almost all of his wins were against FCS and teams under .500 . He also benefited with Tenn. and Fla. being down at that time.

Don't worry. Once he loses to Pitt, temple, and as always to ohio st, mich and maybe mich st again, he'll be gone in 2 years. Maybe after 2016 so you'll be happy sooner than later. As you said about his record, not very good against ranked teams so it's already proven he's a loser or Joyner was mislead about his record when he first hired him

I am looking forward to the Penn State Game and Franklin's hiring of Moorhead Offense and OL Coaches that a good record in developing Offenses and have the talent to prove it in 2016 not just against Pitt but against many good Teams?

Penn State is putting a New Offense together under Moorhead and Limegrover built on what he did at Fordham with Two Running Backs, Great Wide Outs, and a Running QB that will throw to keep the Defense honest. It was very successful at Fordham. They have Spring Ball, Summer Preseason Camp and one game (Kent State) to practice it before Pitt.

Pitt Narduzzi & Staff will have more talent on Defense and creating a Fast Defense to cover Speedy Offenses and they have a Preseason Summer Camp and one game (Villanova) to prepare for Penn State.

Now that is something to look forward to, see what Coaches can do with their talent and will be bragging rights and recruiting battles, that is what College Football is all about as I know it, and others can differ. Time for Narduzzi's & Staff & 412 Crew and Franklin's Staff & 717 Team to get on and can't wait, and let the expletives banter fly?

I enjoy great competition whether it was Saban versus Swinney, Sherrill versus Paterno, Sutherland versus Rockne, Bo versus Woody, Paterno versus Bear, Harbaugh versus Dantonio, Meyer versus Saban, and Franklin will prove he can coach in 2016 or 2017 or Penn State will find the right coach that can do it at Penn State like Michigan, MSU, OSU, Temple, Iowa, and PITT has done.

Harbaugh already took Franklin's recruits, and I truly believe he sends a message this year by running up the score. It took a metric chit ton of bad calls to keep PSU in it last season, and we were lacking D linemen by the time we played the Nittany Whiners.

Franklin should of known better than to talk yang about Harbaugh this offseason. His recruiting prowess will take an even bigger hit when he is done picking his teeth off the ground, at the Big House, as Michigan will be setting PSU up for dentures.

I concur, Harbaugh does not respect Franklin that is obvious when they meet on the field if you look at close at his facial expressions.

You mean the first half Harbaugh was ragging on the Refs, from I recall, but during the Third Quarter, Penn State was being blown away and Harbaugh did become upset as Refs started to keep PSU in the Game? Yet, Franklin's & Staff Half Time Adjustments were terrible in Temple, OSU, Michigan, MSU, and Georgia losses, only in NW loss did he show some improvements? The Lions were really beaten by Half-Time.

Harbaugh is doing it to everybody as well to be fair, he is that good, but in particular I think he does takes some joy on beating on Franklin's Talk as Harbaugh Walks and Runs all over Franklin like Trump attacks Rubio, Cruz, and Clinton?

Of course, Harbaugh's Father that taught both boys to be superb coaches, spent a little time coaching at Pitt!;)
