According to my local paper Michigan offered Collin Smith. He is a junior QB/DB from Ligonier Valley HS.
When I first read it I was very surprised and skeptical. This is the type of thing that doesn't happen in this area.
So I emailed a buddy who coaches nearby. He said it's for real. That Harbaugh talked with the kid for a half hour Sunday. And that Harbaugh is the one recruiting him. He (the coach) said lots of schools are talking with Collin but Michigan is the only offer.
I wish Collin good luck. And hope to see him play soon.
