Midfield logo

yeah, get rid of the white, outline the blue with gold and make it bigger. Just my 2 cents..

big gold PITT outlined in blue from the 40 to the 40. there's no reason not to except the steelers getting the vapors over painting it over with their logo and green for what their logo doesn't cover.

For the PITT-Cincinnati game in 2009, there was just a block PITT at midfield.
Great detail, not just some sprayed on blue.

Barnes talks about branding all the time. Then why is the script gold everywhere except at midfield when it is most visible. I don't like the blue/white design.

I hate to complain about anything, but the design looks horrible.

All good points made by Posters above.....but my concern is......does this portend things to come from the New Uniforms that have been selected and have been kept a secret until next year????

Any thoughts about, WHITE HELMETS with the PITT SCRIPT???

That's because it just after the re sod.And if you remember right, the Steelers didn't start putting the logo in the middle of the field until after the re sod. It's only been the last couple of years that they've been putting the logo on early in the season.Like someone said just paint the white area green around the Pitt logo?

Folks....its EXACTLY the same as last year....I suspect the white is still only because of the Stillers....

The script looks maybe a touch "fatter" but it looks the same to me as Heinz last year.....

This. It's been the same for like 2 or 3 years, except now it is script instead of block.

It's so they can just fill it in and paint the Steeler logo in the circle.

It's like the people that run the stadium want Pitt to understand that they are the 2nd priority. It's the Steelers stadium & Pitt should not forget that....
Pitt needs to approach the Rooneys & anyone else that controls how things go on down there....let them know that we demand equal treatment.
I do not mind playing there other than the way Pitt seems to be an afterthought from those that run the place.

Hail to PITT !!!

Ummm, Pitt is getting equal treatment the logo is at midfield and the stadium is covered in Pitt banners on Saturday's.

The gold paint for both teams always looks bad on the field so I don't mind the blue over white, but the script would stand out more if it had a slight gold outline.

They really need to ditch the Pittsburgh in one end zone thing and just go with the old school slashes or something like Denver uses for throwback games.

Then why even have the white if the steelers are just going to paint over our logo?

I know it's been like that. Just expected more with the new admin. They had time to do it right.

Why isn't there just "Pittsburgh" in both end zones? Pittsburgh in one end zone and slashes in the other isn't a good look. Perhaps the Rooney's are a fan of the slashes.

Sun Life Stadium has "Miami" in both end zones, so it can't be some type of nfl rule.

Comparatively to last year, it was an improvement, but only marginally. The boring Pittsburgh in the left end zone and the hash marks on the right, look bad. And we are, I think, the only ACC school to not have a conference logo on the field of play.

And I'm not sure if it's completely to do with the Rooneys. Up until recently, the Pete was pretty plain Jane boring and unoriginal.

Though I'll hold out hope that the new administration will make the improvements in branding, since they seem to definitely get it more than Smiley and Nordy.

Heinz Field field is so bad that it should be an advantage for the home team who is used to it and wearing the right spikes!
