Moral of the NCAA BB story

He who has great guards can compete on a nightly basis
and go far in the NCAA tourney.( still a recruiting class or two away)
But these three freshman are athletic, can jump out of the building, good
ball handlers,slashers, and quick defensively .

We are starting to see them grow up and get more confident, especially at home.

Building blocks are here-guards.....now if Capel hits on 2 or 3 freshman next year, like this trio. Watchout ACC and NCAA tourney. A team with guard play like this, you don’t wanna face in the dance.


Great Win...glad we didn’t storm the court...much brighter days ahead...This is why a great
AD strikes fast and makes a statement move by hiring Capel. The money from stallings will
be recouped fast with a panther rise to prominence again.

Yup. I’m not sure I’d trade our guards for anyone we’ve payed so far

Capel was smart, he knew that was where he had to build and be competitive was with fast,athletic guards.

There jumping ability also negates some of the height issues the team faces.

This is like building up the middle in baseball. Now add depth, some bigs,
and possible a natural shooter and this team will be a FORCE.

Great thing about this team is they are so quick, they can afford to get a shooter that is slower in foot speed. The guards will create space, especially
X. Get one of those Indiana (state) kids who can be like jimmy chitwood here.

Foul trouble will be the thing that holds this team back as they need more depth. But these kids are amazing
