More from Noah Hiles

Its a horrible loss because we are Pitt and they are Wake minus Sam Hartman. And they had a 3rd string QB. Perhaps we are just as bad as Wake but we shouldn't be.
We are obviously who we are. You are proving my point about expectations.

It remains a fact that people who expect an under-performing Pitt to beat an under-performing Wake in a game called a tossup by the people whose financial lives depend on making such calls are unreasonable.

No coach is saying that. None ever would. You're making that up. I am saying that.

Right. No coach would say that. But you are.

People are saying it’s a horrible loss. One reason being how bad Wake is. You pointing to Vegas is irrelevant to that. Because Vegas is accounting for how bad Pitt is. Which is the very point posters are making.

Wake isn't that bad. They aren't near as bad people are making them out to be. On the flip side, that Louisville team Pitt beat the weak before isn't near as good as public perception.

I'd take Claiborne & Ellison over any of our backs.

So posters are recognizing that Pitt is bad yet they expect a win? Sounds like unreasonableness to me. If not insanity.

They were 65th in F+ going into the game, and that’s not accounting for them having to play their 3rd string QB.

They are were a bad team going into the game. Probably dropped to really bad due to the injury situation.

They expect Pitt not to be so bad as to be a coin flip against bad teams.

This isn’t hard.

You’re using Pitt’s quality is an excuse why this isn’t a bad loss. Others are saying Pitt’s quality is the very point.

It’s so weird how you don’t see the logic that literally every poster that has responded to you, has pointed out.

You’re wondering how we’re all taking that from your post. But whatever. We don’t have to keep posting the exact same thing back and forth to each other.

I'd rather face Mitch Griffis than Marruci. Griffis is an interception/strip sack waiting to happen.
He handed ODU 14 points when they played earlier this year here in Norfolk.

Pitt is 2-5. Your expectations that Pitt isn't bad are reflected by reality.

Your argument seems to be that Pitt wasn’t favored to beat Wake, so it can’t be a bad loss.

His argument also ignores the fact that at most places by kickoff time, when everyone knew that Wake was starting their 3rd string quarterback, Pitt was a 2-1/2 point favorite. It was as high as three in some places (and to be fair, as low as a point and a half at one).
