Grand Slam Hire:

1. Pep Hamilton - Former Stanford/Indianapolis Colts OC. Mentored Andrew Luck and is a QB Coach. Likely a short term OC and very expensive. Highly unlikely.

2. Dan Enos - Current OC at Arkansas, also QB coach. Possible, but unlikely to have back to back OC come from Arkansas. However, Brett doesn't have the reputation of being the easiest HC to work for. He does have some overlap at MSU with Narduzzi and likely familiar with what HCPN wants. ACC is not SEC so unless his non-compete is broader it should just be a matter of paying a buyout.

3. John Defilippo - Current OC at Cleveland Browns and worked with QB throughout career. Noted for work he did with D. Carr in Oakland. Dad coached with Duzz's dad at YSU. Highly unlikely since his star is still burning bright, even considering the mess that is the Brown's. Also would likely be a HC or NFL OC in short order so doesn't appear to be the likely choice.

Home Run Hire:

4. Kevin Johns - Indiana offense was explosive and balanced. Seems to be a power spread guy and is unclear that he is the play caller at IU. Is the OC at a school with a Offensive HC so always a question about how much is his contribution. Works with QB and WR. Reminds me of Conklin both look wise and seems to be youngish guy getting mentored/polish from HC.

5. Matt Canada - fmr OC at NC State, Wisky, NIU. Seems to be a winner and a guy who is multiple. Also seems to be Chaney-ish. Works with QBs throughout his career and has 20+ years experience. Has bounced around a bit, but seems like someone who is willing to put down roots in the right situation.

6. Billy Napier - WR coach at Bama, fmr Clemson OC. Worked with Powell at Clemson. Seems that he is more pro style and Dabo wanted tempo and spread. Worked at CSU with current Fl. head coach so he has been around some good offensive minds. Still pretty young and hasn't coordinated an offense in a while. If successful, he is likely not someone who sticks around for a while.

7. Matt Limegrover - fmr OC at Minnesotta. Coaches OL so would need to reshuffle duties to have someone coach QBs. Is highly regarded and was once thought of as being on the HC track. Followed Kill for years so he is very loyal and likely will stick unless a HC opportunity came. Not very sexy and not the strongest for in-home visit with MacVittie.

Triple:

8. Any of the MSU trio - worked with HCPN before. Familiar with expectations. Seem to be loyal and won't leave for first opportunity. Likely not poaching from MSU and D'Antonio got them into the playoffs this year so the team is likely going to stay together to try to make it to the Championship game in a few years.

9. G.A. Mangus - fmr OC at U. South Carolina. Works with QBs. Recruits the NE, particularly Philly area. Offense seems highly influenced by Spurrier, so not exact match for what HCPN appears to want. However has worked with QB throughout career and is a noted recruiter having been named to some top 25 list.

Double:

10. Tim Salem - knows offense on the staff, continuity. But would feel a little Matt House like.

11. Shawn Watson - fmr Texas/Louisville OC/QB. Knows QB and has been an OC. But doesn't seem like his success has translated everywhere he has been.

12. Shane Montgomery - YSU OC/QB. Style seems a little bit of a mismatch.

Single:

13. John Shoop - fired OC from Purdue. Seems like he hasn't really been successful in his stops. But could just need a change of scenery. Best attribute would be PR because brother is DC at PSU.

14. Andy Ludwig - OC at Vandy. Seems to have had limited success as well.

15. Tim Polasek - OC/RB North Dakota State. Been successful at many stops. But not QB coach, recruiting ability unknown. Big step up in competition and again not best pick to visit with MacVittie.

16. Brian Schottenheimer - fmr GA OC. QB coaching experience. Famous last name. Hasn't had a lot of success.

17. Jake Spavital - Air Raid OC/QB coach. Seems to be the opposite type of OC that HCPN is looking for.
