Narduzzi is such a detriment to this program

We opened the field up all week last week. Just like that go-ahead TD drive.

The second Narduzzi built up an ounce of goodwill from last week, he wants to play the "get the lead on sit on it" game again.

The ONLY reason 2021 is what it was is because Whipple gave this jackass the double birds.
You have no clue what you're talking about.

It’s time to take this program to the studs and begin the rebuild with a new staff. This was pathetic.

Again... Narduzzi doesnt call the offense plays at all.

Cignetti blows

Our QB threw 45 passes by the way, not sure why you think we sat on the ball. I agree running up the middle every single 3rd and 3 is mind-numbingly stupid, but we actually semi opened it up, actually ran misdirection for the first time in forever, and our QB actually looked ... olk?

Cignetti is just unimaginative, and not very good.

I dont love Narduzzi, I think he is kinda a dippy dude, but not his fault

He has a say in how the game is called in certain situations.

In another place here, somebody cradked wise about Heather being there.

I realize she has been on the field in the past, but she is getting closer to where she is going to have a decision to make.

The HC has 5 to win 4, or there is no bowl game for the University of Pittsburgh. The last I looked, not sure it is current with results today, the combined W/L of the next 5 is 25--9. Three of them are top twenty teams. How do you get 4 wins out of this....except for an act of God?

Bowl game????

Where’s the “PLAYOFFS????” meme when we need it?

This pathetic offense (and defense … and punting game) isn’t getting no stinking bowl game.

She has no decision to make. Narduzzi is safe.

The decision she has is to force him to fire Cignetti … actually, to force him not only to fire Cignetti BUT also to essentially force him to hire someone he would normally not hire in a million years if left to his own devices.
WILL NOT HAPPEN.

Nor should it.

The extent of her conversations re Cignetti will be 2 questions:
- Were you happy with the performance of the offense this year?
- What can WE do to improve it?

Personnel decisions cannot be FORCED on a head coach or the position becomes dead to anyone worth a crap.

They threw the ball far more than they ran it. Isn't that what everyone wanted?

Bad loss, it sucks. Many reasons, but I don't think they sat on anything.

Too many mistakes is why they lost.

Not true! She’s is the Chief Executive of the an entire athletic department. She has every right to question personnel and their role in the organization…AND SHE SHOULD! If Narduzzi doesn’t like it …step. He‘s not Nick or Dabo…coaches like him are a dime a dozen, six for a nickel.

We have had one very very enjoyable year, great year for the players and fans. Otherwise it’s been nothing but 7-5. No real point to this but if the department aspires to a higher ceiling than average then it might be time to consider another program leader.

the duzz is now meat head for me until i see fit.
He will be coach for the next 10-15 so get used to being 6-6.

Even coaches like Narduzzi won't come to Pitt if the AD forces specific personnel changes. No coach wants AD interference in personnel decisions.

BS…money talks! And it’s not like she wouldn’t be justified in “minding her business” - its not like she didn’t give him a chance picking his guy.

Nice theory. Doesn't work in the real world. Meddling ADs aren't highly regarded by coaches.

So the decision is:

Don’t force a new OC, and doom the program to 100% guarantee of sucking;

Or

Force the hand for a new OC hire, increase the odds of success significantly (because anything is significantly better than 0 chance), with possibly, maybe, kind of, potentially, remotely, you irk a future coaching candidate (any of which witnessing this train wreck right now, which they certainly would be witnessing, would know full well that a chance desperately was needed?

Lessee … certain guaranteed failure vs a very good chance to NOT fail BUT some d-bag coward of a candidate would possibly shy away from 7 million bucks because the boss did something any boss would do?

Ridiculous.

LOL. Your 100% guarantee is nonsense.

There is no guarantee that any OC hire would be better. Narduzzi wants an offense that you don't like and his style won't allow a change.

There is also a chance that the future becomes now if Narduzzi gets irked at the interference and leaves. Believe it or not, he would be grabbed up. Then you're stuck with trying to replace him immediately with the reputation of a meddling AD.

Good luck with all that.

Dozens more would line up the a job that pays well and has a strong desire to win. Time and again this is true.

Anyone not mentally retarded realizes at this point that the OC needs to go. If the AD is forced to make this happen because the doofus moron Hc loses his sanity and resists it, everyone would similarly realize she HAD to do it. And no decent HC candidate would fear this, because no decent HC candidate would ever be stupid enough to refuse to do it in the first place.

And the only P5 or respectable G5 lining up for Duz at this point would be someone needing an assistant LB coach. Until he has demonstrates he is willing to embrace modern offense, nobody of any worth will want him. I mean, look at the sh1t job his favorite OC Shawn Watson had to take. Duz will need to take similar. But more likely, he’ll retire in obscurity. He’s old and his time has passes
