Clown world.

LOL. This too ridiculous to even consider a serious reply.Dozens more would line up the a job that pays well and has a strong desire to win. Time and again this is true.
Anyone not mentally retarded realizes at this point that the OC needs to go. If the AD is forced to make this happen because the doofus moron Hc loses his sanity and resists it, everyone would similarly realize she HAD to do it. And no decent HC candidate would fear this, because no decent HC candidate would ever be stupid enough to refuse to do it in the first place.
And the only P5 or respectable G5 lining up for Duz at this point would be someone needing an assistant LB coach. Until he has demonstrates he is willing to embrace modern offense, nobody of any worth will want him. I mean, look at the sh1t job his favorite OC Shawn Watson had to take. Duz will need to take similar. But more likely, he’ll retire in obscurity. He’s old and his time has passes
Not true! She’s is the Chief Executive of the an entire athletic department. She has every right to question personnel and their role in the organization…AND SHE SHOULD! If Narduzzi doesn’t like it …step. He‘s not Nick or Dabo…coaches like him are a dime a dozen, six for a nickel.
This is one of the first things that I have agreed with you about. As I said previously, Heather will have a year-end evaluation with Narduzzi of the football program and will discuss improvement needs. Narduzzi is a smart guy and he will make changes. But no one should expect him to make changes that will not be in keeping with his overall coaching philosophy which is running the ball is necessary part of success. This is all a moot point in that I see no way Cignetti is staying. Even Narduzzi isnt that dumb. However, if he were, we are debating semantics. While Heather wouldn't "force" a firing of Cignetti, she would certainly point out areas which needed improvement and hint that a change must be made. Again, Narduzzi isnt as dumb as he seems. While Heather isnt going to come out and say it, he knows what he has to do.
Do you say that because you think we can’t afford the buyout, or because you think he’s a good coach? She has no decision to make. Narduzzi is safe.
Do you say that because you think we can’t afford the buyout, or because you think he’s a good coach?
Really? What is he wrong about?Wrong…dead wrong
I am and always have been a Narduzzi supporter.Do you say that because you think we can’t afford the buyout, or because you think he’s a good coach?
Your prior examples are completely irrelevant to the current situation. There’s a difference between micromanagement and stepping in to resolve a material issue damaging the program.Really? What is he wrong about?
I mean.....didnt Pederson force Wannstedts decision making? Wanny told Pederson (his boss) to pound sand.
Look at everything that happened immediately after.
Wannstedt gets canned, and Pederson completely mangled a coaching search.
Pitt becomes the laughing stock of CFB hiring this imbecile Hayward...and then pays the Stupid Tax to get Todd Graham.
All because the AD decided to try and muscle in on the HC.
And I will remind everyone that AD Pederson was never heard from again.
NCPitt is right. Heather wont force anything. But i dont think she needs to. Narduzzi has to know.
It’s that bad.
LOL. You really have no clue about managing people, do you?Your prior examples are completely irrelevant to the current situation. There’s a difference between micromanagement and stepping in to resolve a material issue damaging the program.
We’re not not talking about the typical situation here. We’re talking about an OC who significantly underperformed in 2 seasons and, due to poor judgment, tanked an entire season. Under these unusual circumstances it would be perfectly appropriate for an AD to force a HC to fire the OC under these circumstances where the HC refuses to do so. Any other HC who knew the circumstances involved here would have no issue with the AD stepping in to force a recalcitrant HC’s hand. Narduzzi’s judgment would be recognized as poor. I agree that having to force Narduzzi to axe FC may be a moot issue but if he balks, Lyke isn’t doing her job if she doesn’t order Narduzzi to fire him….as you say, the situation is that bad!
ha, ha….you don’t understand a CEO’s responsibility when someone is sinking the organizational ship….the CEO doesn’t cover his eyes and ears like a blind, deaf monkeyLOL. You really have no clue about managing people, do you?

Your analogy is silly.
Here's where your analogy is off. Heather's salary is probably about 20% of Narduzzi's. How many CEOs earn less than a department manager?very apt… good senior leaders trust their subordinates until in a given situation they prove the issue at hand is too difficult for them to handle themselves for one reason or another. The overall good of the organization far outweighs a subordinate’s sensitivities. The subordinate can always leave..that’s his or her’s prerogative. Management 101……good senior leaders don’t sit in the corner like a dunce while a subordinate is reigning havoc.
Your response lacks foresight and isn’t grounded in reality. She’s responsible for the entire athletics department and every head coach reports to her. The disparity between her and Narduzzi’s salaries doesn’t impact the reporting relationship… she can axe him tomorrow should she so choose. She, like every living breathing Pitt fan, knows enough about FB to recognize the hiring of Cignetti has been a horrendous mistake that has damaged the FB program and that he needs fired. If Narduzzi can’t see this, it’s within her prerogative, and she should exercise it, to order her HC to give Cignetti the heave ho. End of story…, you won’t find these principles in the Mother Goose book on your bed stand. Here's where your analogy is off. Heather's salary is probably about 20% of Narduzzi's. There's a reason for the disparity that is even more important. Heather's role is a generalist in management. Narduzzi's is a highly specialized job that Heather wouldn't even be remotely qualified to know. Highly specialized departments require expertise in hiring the staff. Its like a diversified company with a pharmaceutical branch. That branch might a lab with scientists. The diversified CEO doesn't know crap about running a lab or the science of drugs. He wouldn't be qualified make hiring decisions in the lab.
I'm guessing that goes over your head.
Your response shows exactly what I thought.Your response lacks foresight and isn’t grounded in reality. She’s responsible for the entire athletics department and every head coach reports to her.
