If these kids and their parents cannot see what is going in Oakland, then I do not know what to tell them. Things are changing for the better and fast, get on board be a hometown hero, make a name for yourself early or go somewhere else and be a number! I for one did not see all this excitement brewing in recruiting, I am checking this damn thing every ten minutes! I am ready for next season now! Parents need to wake up and see!

Give it a chance. He was groomed by Dant, and whether I like the guy or not, I would never say he cannot coach. Quite the contrary. I am unsure if you guys have a sure fire recruiting ace, but if not, that wouldn't hurt.

The bad thing in all this is that the other schools will start noticing as well. I hope when it comes time to pony up, Pitt is in it for the long haul. With the additions being made, it looks like the trustees are understanding that football runs the AD.

Pitt's Football Program problem was the A.D. Pederson that could make Pitt back to winning but not a Top 25 Program at Pitt or at Nebraska! Same with Michigan's A.D. and Coach Hoke!

Pitt had to wait and see if Narduzzi was the right choice and could coach at Pitt and he did:

1. Coach Pat came from MSU's Dantonio Staff that did take on and beat Michigan the bigger Program in Michigan and that is a compliment to the Big Ten and Michigan and MSU too! Coach Pat Narduzzi wanted and waited for the Pitt Job and quite happy with it, unlike other coaches that were 3rd, 4th, and 5th choices, except Wannstedt!

1. This was Coach Pat Narduzzi's First Year as a Head Coach and he proved he could handle it!

2. Coach Pat picked a Staff in weeks not months unlike previous Coaches at Pitt, that is a sign of good coaching!

3. Coach Pat & Staff changed to the No Quit Attitude and Discipline on and off the GridIron in one year at Pitt, like you said, that is Good Coaching!

4. Coach Pat & Staff created Good Game Plans for every game this past season, that was good coaching. Sure, he had to learn Sideline Coaching by making some mistakes as a New Coach, and his Players and Coaches had to learn together on better Execution against more talented Teams, but they gave them all good games!

5. Coach Pat proved he could make Half Time Adjustments in every Game as well, and that has not been seen at Pitt Football since 1980s! Coaching up his Players after Half Time against other Veteran Coaching Staffs that had years on Coach Pat was remarkable and is a sign of Good Coaching!

6. Coach Pat & Staff improved all Three Complete Units into Teams on Offense with a New QB & OC, Losing ACC Player of the Year Top RB replaced by Freshmen ACC Rookie of the Year, created a better Defense with ACC Defensive Freshmen Rookie of the Year, and Special Teams that lost many Games in previous years, unlike other prior Coaches!

As stated by you, and seen by all Lair and Fans in 2015, Coach Pat proved he could Coach Up his Players to be better Teams!

I am unsure if you guys have a sure fire recruiting ace, but if not, that wouldn't hurt.
Well, I had to wait and see that too, but Pitt's Football Program still has many vacant positions and just gearing up with more money now. Coach Pat & Staff are proving they are better at Recruiting too.

The bad thing in all this is that the other schools will start noticing as well. I hope when it comes time to pony up, Pitt is in it for the long haul. With the additions being made, it looks like the trustees are understanding that football runs the AD.
Agree, and the challenge is even tougher in 2016 with Clemson, Oklahoma State, Penn State, along with New Coaches at Miami, VT, Virginia and CUSE, joining UNC, Duke, and GT's Very Good Coaches!

Up to Pitt to keep it going and Coach Pat & Staff to meet that 2016 challenge and need to beat Significant Ranked Teams!

Still, Coach Pat proved many aspects of the Pitt Football Program not seen since 1970-80s in all aspects that Harris, Wannstedt, Haywood, Graham and Chryst could not do completely and it begins with Good Coaching, and Coach Pat has passed that test in his First Year!

Up to Chancellor Gallagher, A.D. Barnes to support Coach Pat Narduzzi to make Pitt a Top 25 Program!

The enthusiasm for Narduzzi is great, and the program appears headed in the right direction, but that 'Coach Pat' post was more than a little over the top.

The Iowa game, they had the fourth and inches in Iowa territory in the fourth and they punted, came back to bite them. He learned from it at least, and was more aggressive in I believe it was the Cuse game.

The team came out flat against UNC in the biggest game if their season, at home, on national tv. It also came out flat against Miami, and Navy too. That is on the staff when it happens that often in one season.

I think they're ultimately going to be okay, but this might be a rough season unless the QB play improves dramatically. Hopefully the coaching is all around better too.

I wouldn't say Pitt "came out flat" against Navy when we returned the opening kickoff for a TD. I'd say we came out without the necessary speed/strength to contain a good triple option offense.

We just didn't have enough good players, especially on defense, to compete well with UNC and Miami.

Go Pitt.

Both those teams had stable coaching for awhile and had implemented systems, going into year 2 I expect a much more aggressive and talented team, but at the same time it will be a vey young team,we might be the youngest team in FBS again next year

You're Post is Ok with me, and fair too and thank you!

Yep, he made the mistake allowing the Iowa Kicker to kick it too, but he told everyone after the Game, that was his mistake and he did not make excuses like he has a Plan, or blamed an Assistant, or it was his Third Game as a Head Coach?

He learned from it at least, and was more aggressive in I believe it was the Cuse game.
Exactly, he learns from his mistakes! also, went boldly on many 4th Downs and Faked Special Teams Plays.

Agree again, and add Notre Dame too. Yet, when asked about all 5 losses, said, it with no apologies, no excuses, and clearly lacked the Players Talent of UNC, ND, MIAMI and experience of NAVY Coaching and all 5 Teams QBs played great against Pitt in those games too. At the same time, Pitt players almost came back in Iowa 13-1, UNC 11-2, and Miami 8-5 games with Half Time Adjustments. Even in ND 11-2 No Quit Attitude! NAVY that went 11-2 beat Pitt from start to finish! Still, not bad for a First Year Coach with a New QB & OC & RBs! Everyone of those coaches he lost too, have been at their Programs over 5 years too!

I think they're ultimately going to be okay, but this might be a rough season unless the QB play improves dramatically. Hopefully the coaching is all around better too.
Very Fair and Agree, all Pitt Games except for Villanova will be Toss Ups Again, just like in 2015!

Navy beat everyone except ND & Houston, they had a Terrific coach that turned down other jobs, learned under GT's Johnson and lost their OC before the Bowl Game? Still Coach Pat made no excuses, just got flat out beat!

We just didn't have enough good players, especially on defense, to compete well with UNC and Miami.
Go Pitt.
Disagree a tad too, thought the Pitt Players dropped too many balls and execution was inconsistent all game long, and when they almost came back with a No Quit Attitude, no enough, too little and too late! Fedora is a Great Coach, Miami had an Interim, when asked about the Miami Loss, Coach Pat said, maybe they ate too much Turkey? Coach Richt and Fedora will be even tougher in 2016!

So, Little Done, So Much More To Do By Duzz & Staff & Players & Recruits In 2016 Too!

Not sure what people really expected this year. We rolled out guys at many positions that would have been far better suited playing in Buffalo or Toledo. Which not by coincidence is the type of school that Paul Chryst beat them out for.

I'll keep saying it over and over - this is going to be a three to four year process. I expect next year to have many rough spots. We still have many holes to fill and hopefully the staff will be playing younger guys that will need to gain experience before they can compete with the talent that UNC and Miami put on the field.

Are Miami and UNC great? Of course not. But they had bigger, faster guys at the spots where we had a serious lack of size, speed, and talent. That doesn't get fixed overnight. And when things are ugly a few times next season - like when we go to Clemson - I hope some of you stay away from overpasses and bridges. They seem to know what they're doing. But you can't fix our problems in one year.

Let's not act like this was a 2-10 team he inherited. They competed with UNC & Miami (beat them the prior 2 years I believe) the past few years, they beat a good ND team 2 years ago, and, while Navy was a good team, they were never in danger of losing to Pitt.

I don't think anyone should be all that worried about Narduzzi not getting this program to a higher level than it is at, but let's not give him passes for the team not coming out ready on offense or defense against UNC, Miami, & Navy.

Totally agree, every game last year was a Toss Up Game, and every game in 2016 with maybe the exception of Villanova will be a Toss up too.

Yet, Coach Pat did prove he could be a Very Good Head in 2015 and Recruiter this year? Coach Pat carries confidence among his staff and changed his players attitudes and Pitt fan base as well too, and never said, this is going to be easy.

It was 8-5 in 2015 and could have been 4-8 or 7-6 and nothing is guaranteed in 2016! Pitt is Rebuilding with its 5th Coach in 6 years, within the ACC and with a New Chancellor and A.D?

Pitt's Coach Pat is off to a good start but still much to do, change, and 2016 Schedule is tougher than 2015?

Agree, but Wannstedt, Graham, and Chryst all lost Games due to bad Special Teams, changes in Staffs, losing and rebuilding recruiting classes, all under a horrible A.D.?
Coach Pat did inherit Players on Defense and Special Teams that were ignored by Graham and Chryst in favor of Offense? Coach Pat inherited a recruiting class ranked at 66th?

No one is doing that, and we all expected much more against UNC, Miami and Navy! Yet, he still improved all 3 Units and now is recruiting better than the other Coaches before him!

I wouldn't say flat against UNC. They drove down the filed and had to settle for a FG on their 1st drive, then had the Ford fumble that was not a fumble to give UNC a short field. It seemed like after the FG on the opening drive and then UNC gashed on a few plays up the gut early, I would call it more shell shocked as that was really the 1st game up to that point that Pitt's D was getting manhandled. It just went to show the talent deficiency on defense this year. Could you imagine that defense minus Whitehead.

Now Miami I would call flat, but Navy I would equate to UNC as they just seemed dumbfounded at the lack of resistance the defense showed. Again went to show lack of defensive talent, especially the front 7!

Really when you think about it, what HCPN did with Pitt's defense this year and what he had to work with, was really amazing. Against the lesser teams the defense was very good, but when faced increased talent, it was too much of a disparity in talent to "coach em up."

I am very excited to see the 2017 Pitt defense. Next year I see inconsistency once again, due to good players being underclassmen and the older players lacking true big time talent, even though they will give it all they have, that only carries you so far.

I do not care about what happen months ago, that is over. Are you guys complaining not excited about what is transpiring? We are what two weeks away from signing day and we are pursuing numerous studs. I am not saying we are going to win the NC, but we are getting quality players that will help lay the foundation for what I hope will return us to glory. Can we wait and see what happens instead of dwell on what did not this year?
