Hard to believe, X is still eligible. He'll play for IU this year
his sixth. Let's see if he's gotten past his problems. He does
have the ability, but has neen his own worst enemy.

I agree but X and Trey had to be ball dominant and take shots .. and honestly, X wasn't terribly inefficient besides the turnovers .. which I really can't pin all of it on him. He was the only dude that could basically dribble up the court effectively and had Trey + JWF .. had big guys that couldn't catch the ball. Just a bad, bad team around those 3.

I'd be curious to see how Carrington and Lowe look on that 18-19 team. X went 15-5-4 and shot 35% from deep .. X's best year as a Panther was his first year. He basically regressed from that point on.

when I asked I more or less meant their level of play. Maybe X wouldn't tone it down and would still try to be the guy on this team .. which to be clear, isn't what this Pitt team needs. I fully agree that we just need solid play from that backcourt. Take care of the ball. Make the extra pass. Hit the open shots. Simple stuff.

I think X's Frosh year is overlooked by his last 2 years here .. he was really good as a frosh.

I always liked X until he even transferred. I don’t really know how to quantify how good they have to be to for Pitt to contend for a tournament spot. There is little margin for error though. I’d zone Pitt a lot

I think they have to be somewhat close to ACC All-frosh team to make the NCAA Tournament and I dont think they will be which is why I am not predicting we make it. We needed Dior and we needed Dior to live up to his ranking. Lowe and Carrington are good "program guys". Play a little as frosh. Start as sophomores. All-leaguish by juniors. But players like that dont exist anymore.

I think Lowe will be steady but not necessarily super impact this year and be good as he’s older but I think Carrington is a legitimate Day 1 impact player.

They have to keep the pedal on the gas and blowout the bad teams too. That's just as important. Need that scoring margin.
