NBA Christmas games.

He's only 19yrs old, so I'm not too worried about his weaknesses right now.

I am thoroughly impressed with his playmaking abilities right now.
FWIW, Melo and the Hornets are playing the Nets in about 20 minutes. I think this should be a pretty interesting game and one that may play to Melo's talents. There should be a lot of offense in this one.

Talk about an upside down night in the NBA. Cavs and yes the New York Knicks combine to beat the 76ers and Bucks by 45. The Clippers still haven’t figured out there was a game played yesterday.

I wanted to bump this thread to say that after watching him over the past 5 or so games, I am starting to believe a lot more. He seems to be everything that people wanted his brother to be except that he does not play defense yet. I worry about how low the shot release is and his overall shot selection, but he seems to make it work. Offensively, he could potentially be a big difference making guy. I concur with your general thoughts now.

I am pretty impressed with the upside of him, Wiseman and Edwards. This draft was not greatly regarded, but all of those three have big-time star potential. It is not inconceivable to see all three as top 10 NBA players at some time in 5-7 years, I think.

Also, in a strange turn of events, I really like some of the components of that Hornets team. Maybe Michael Jordan finally has caught his stride with Kupchak. But, Hayward has looked like pre-injury Gordon Hayward, Ball looks like the absolute right pick, and Washington/Bridges have a lot of potential. And, I am not anti their small guards though it seems obviously that they need to take one out and put Ball in.
