This sounds interesting to me, I'm not much of an NBA fan but this I would be interested to watch, it's like a soccer tournament with group and knockout stage, not 2 months of best of 7s-all 30 teams play and it lasts one month. This is like an SMF idea

I'm a lukewarm fan during the majority of the regular season, this doesn't make me any warmer.

I almost never watch it since the 90s, A single elimination tournament could be entertaining, I don't even watch the playoffs much anymore.
