Because the majority of games weren’t televised.
Are you going to pretend travelling was less frequent then ?

How old where you then? I used to watch multiple NBA games every week back then BECAUSE IT WAS BETTER, I was also a big Bulls fan starting in the 70s and the rivalry with Detroit was great in that time, there were plenty of NBA games on TV and there was better defense and less obvious traveling PROVE ME WRONG.

That's normal basketball, the NBA should get rid of the 3-point shot and get back to that sort of game.
