INDIANAPOLIS – Seven wrestlers from the 13th-ranked University of Pittsburgh wrestling team are among the top 33 in their respective weight classes in the first of four NCAA coaches' panel rankings, as released by the NCAA Thursday afternoon.

The seven Panthers are:

The dual meet team is ranked #13. Several AA candidates and even few that will challenge for the very top spots on the podium, are on the roster. People are already buzzing about season tickets and front row seat in a rapidly filling Field House. I would say the ball is definitely rolling in Gavin and Co FIRST year.

The next step will be recruits and, like match to gasoline, that will happen as money/ additional RTC athletes start showing up.
