Just an FYI, Baseball America put out a tournament projection today and we are a #1 seed, the 15th overall #1 seed and that means hosting a regional. That’s a huge deal

I wonder if they will allow 75% capacity per PA regulation. Or would they just invite friends and family? I'm not understand the prohibition on Pitt baseball.
The athletics department is good at getting back to Panther Club members. I asked and received tickets for this weekend’s game. I would suggest doing the same.
They have UCLA as #2 in our pod. Can you imagine a college baseball bracket with Pitt seeded ahead of UCLA?
15 is a tough line if Vandy is the #2. With their pitching there would be no more dangerous opponent in a best of 3 Super Regional.
Pitt needs to win at least 2 of 3 in each remaining series and likely a game or two in the ACCs to stay on the line to host.
BTW, for any ncaa function, the capacity is 50% regardless of the state rules right now. So any team that hosts would have to follow the 50% guideline.
so 900 is Cost capacity at 50% we are looking at 450 fans for four teams in the pod.
Bwh has mentioned that there are some sort of plans to install however much temporary seating at Cost to expand capacity and get the bid.
Heather said they would allow 50% capacity if they host but didn't expect many tickets to be available after friends and family. Maybe we can make it a Wrigley thing and watch from the OC Lot.
It's going to be really dumb when they put up temporary bleachers that would seat say 1,000 more people just to be forced to leave them and all the "regular" seats half empty.
That would make some sense. To be honest, if the program is able to develop enough of a following to support it, it’s a logical potential permanent expansion, too. At least up through the end of both dugouts.
good thing they already decided. If they waited until after this weekend id bet we would not have hosted. dropping three this weekend didnt help.
They didn’t decide who was actually hosting. Jus tthe option pool of who could possibly host.
Pretty unlikely we’ll host at this point.
