New Color Hue

Does anyone know of the color hues for the new uniforms? I have seen the number chart but it does not show the hue. thanks in advance

The University, originally when they decided it was OLD GOLD. That's not what it is now.

Google that gold Pantone 4515.... First thing you'll notice is depending on the surface , material or gloss vs matte factor it can look different... Which is exactly why all this complaint that the pants are "wrong" is not only absurd but pretty ignorant as well...

It was obvious the stripe and script logo (which is gold) on the blue helmet match the numbers and gold pants now but hey never get credit ... It's also obvious that some will never understand a metallic gold helmet will never match fabric nonmetallic gold pants in the same color... Why they don't understand this I don't know...

Heck the color differences in the print world just by using different varnishes , glosses or non gloss but the same exact Pantone can be pretty huge.. Which is why people do press checks.

The university last week put out the official colors as listed above... It's does not matter if they said old gold years ago... It's not biblical for Pete's sake...Michigans "Maize" hasn't stayed completely stagnant either...

They had no right to change the name from Western University of Pennsylvania . . . I mean Pittsburgh Academy . . .

I will say, TempleBA, big fan of what Under Armour did with Temple's jersey's last season. Wouldn't mind making the switch to Under Armour if it falls through Nike. Temple had simple, nice hoops unis as well.

The colors used on the official university seal and logo are:

PMS 281 (R=28, G=41, B=87) for blue and PMS 4515 (R=205, G=184, B=125) for gold.

Nailed it good post, go look at an in game picture of say Alabama and compare the helmet and the jersey and see if they match exactly the same...

Funny you should say that, because if not for the fact that the Temple Rivals board became subscription-only, you could have logged on there and REALLY seen an argument about school colors. Officially they're cherry and white, but what "cherry" is was all over the board, to the point where the university issued . . . an official "Pantone" specification. Didn't settle a thing.
