Pitt Script return was a "No Brainer" and removing Steve Pederson was the same and worth every penny spent to bring the Script back and put Pederson out. No other Athletic Department has hired him and that says it all.

Realistically, the practice facility is as nice as they can make it with the space they have. Minus decorating the indoor practice facility, there's not much else we can do over there. Here's hoping this gives us a shot in the arm in recruiting.

yes, he is laughing all the way to the bank.. . Still want to punch nordy in the face for giving this to him, knowing full well Pederson was getting fired as soon as new AD comes in. how is that legal? Seriously, if a ceo of a major corporation does this right before he retires, he faces jail..

It is guaranteed to help recruiting at least in the short term. I love the fact that the script is back,m and that we're Pitt again instead of Pittsburgh. The name and script had some cache with the average college football fan around the country back in the day, even when the team was struggling. The "PITTSBURGH" re-branding effort was a huge mistake.

It does not matter, he is welcomed to live comfortable but he failed in the end at Nebraska his Alma Mater where he is reviled by their fans and reducing a Top Ten Winning Program below the Top 25 and they are on their 3rd Coach from his his own remnants of arrogance and ego, two combinations that got him fired twice.

I give him some credit for rebuilding Pitt Programs back to winning but many others also helped and never got the recognition or buyouts they deserved, and did better jobs than Pederson.

Pederson also enriched his hidden group of "Pitt Pocket Consultants selfishly at NU too, and caring for them more than any developments of a permanent base because over time you knew when he called, he just wanted something to make himself look good. Unlike Former Athletic Director Cas Myslinski in the 1970s, that only cared about making Pitt look good on and off the field.

In the end, Pederson failed to build Pitt into a Top 25 Program in his first and second tenures at Pitt. It took Nordy, Nebraska, and Pitt to learn that after 18 years? Pederson was his own personal promoted and worst enemy and got away with it until he ran out of excuses and was kept way too long in both places. Even when he was assigned to bring back the Script he did it like a loser not a winner and he is still a loser with a few more bucks in his bank account but more zeros in his career.

Minnesota just fired their Athletic Director and no one up there is thinking of Pederson except maybe Ben Howland at Missy State that he himself had to come to understand when he he reached the limits of his own ego too, and had to realize buyouts are not accomplishments?

It is how you raise and keep a Program high for the University, Athletes, Students, Alumni, and Fans by caring to do your job for all of them, not for one's ego and both left Pitt at one time, and neither should be ever invited back.

Others can differ but the Script is back and it cost more to see it go through many changes that never matched it. Pederson's multiple attempts to replaced all failed too, and those cost Pitt Pocket Money too! Pitt paid dearly due to Pederson's Pitt to Pittsburgh Errors, and thank goodness they are gone from Pitt's future along with Pederson too!
