New OC

if I'm not mistaken Pitt has gotten several of their top offensive recruits without an OC and will probably land Davis,so really who cares when they hire him

Exactly. If you don't need an OC for your recruiting class then why does it matter? Every target I've seen lately has been on the other side of the ball. I'd be more worried if HCPN wasnt the one in charge.

There are only 2 things that would make sense. 1) We are hiring LaFleur (QB Coach) with Falcons 2) An asst coach who is tied to a Power Program or MSU, and there is a big buyout to leave before signing day.

Not sure now. Why wouldn't they have already announced Lafleur? And he's rumored to go to the 49ers.

First off, congrats on getting you're correct this time.
Exact quote:

I never said you said Napier was the guy.

You were however going to war for the position that position coaches, such as Napier, have massive buyouts that don't drop until after LOI day and would prevent schools such as Pitt from hiring them even though a move to OC would be a clear promotion.

ASU just proved your point wrong.
Were you sober when you posted this- as I said, you're completely confused, hopelessly confused. And your post substantiates exactly what I said I posted.

Everyone notice how he can't say anything I said was wrong. Just reverts to name calling to shift attention away from how he was off base.
Huh- I proved you wrong and your post proved me exactly right but I wouldn't expect you to understand that

.
You're probably a purchasing dept contract administrator for Home Depot... Putz!
what's wrong with contract administrators at Home Depot? Although I do hate freakin Home Depot. they have 30 employees on the floor and I swear to Christ they are taught to ignore anyone looking for help. Every single time I am in there and need a help, these jerk offs scatter like I have the plague.

Not to be a jerk, but if his official bio from MSU didn't "look good" there would be something up.
He is a good recruiter like his brother. Tim has done a very good job. He has good experience.

This is Pitt. We are not Bama or such. The expectations that some people set are unrealistic.

He(brad) would be considered credible and wouldn't disrupt much sliding in there. I think there could be a learning curve though.

There are no standard provisions in every contract! If the OC statys right after LOI day and he's currently a college coach, you can bet it's because of a contractual issue. In any event Pitt won't have been impacted negatively an iota by this hire being postponed. What's better waiting and getting the guy you want or settling for your second choice?
Most required to wait til after signing fate are recruiting coordinators as that is their primary job in finishing the class and recruiting visits until signing date.
