I was wrong. I knew Carrigan's dad Rich. He played on the basketball team, and then was a bouncer at Froggy's. Good guy. I recall one day when he threw a guy down the stairs at Froggy's.
to soon for warren, he's got some thinking to do, really good offer sheet, lots of competition.
Now wouldn't that be nice......we'll just have to stay tuned!! HTP/Forever!!!Future gronk
Officially timed at 5.18 40 according to ESPN.Can anyone drop a scouting report on the young man? I don't really know much about him but 6'7 230 is a great base for a TE.
Not sure when/where those 247 ratings were from, but now he is a 3 star there (rated an 84 and 996 in the country and #50 at his position) and he doesn't have a composite. From Oregon Duck news over the summer:
At 6-7, 240 pounds, Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman tight end Grant Carrigan has all kinds of upside but he's not a proven commodity and he's awaiting his first offer. He could grow into offensive tackle or continue to play tight end in a more pro-style type of system. Carrigan played behind Notre Dame signee Alize Jones as a sophomore at Bishop Gorman and will be looking to break out as a junior. Stanford, Michigan and Pittsburgh are already recruiting Carrigan despite limited game film.
The Scoop:

He is slated to bePhil Jurkovic's biggest target this year. Perhaps he can sway Phil away from ND.
Not sure he could play there with that kind of speed/lack of explosion. We need tight ends but I could see narduzzi drooling over the prospects of a 6'7 defensive end
Good pickup, was a 4 star with 247.
He looks more like a Matt Spaeth type TE to me. The kid is in high school and is long, he will pack on the muscle and weight in college. I can see him as a big mauler and short yardage catcher using that big frame to shield off defenders. Man... 6 foot 7 inch TE, sounds good.
us, wake and kent state. are you sure he's not a 5 star?
I'm getting on from his position coach at PR. I'll see what he says. He confirmed he's a high D1 player. Can anyone drop a scouting report on the young man? I don't really know much about him but 6'7 230 is a great base for a TE.
He is a 3 star because of his play. The "4 star" was an initial rating that was after his sophomore year when he basically hadn't played at all.Huh? not sure what you mean. Yeah, I am sure he isnt a 5 star. 247 had him at 4 star. He is now 3 due to lack of plays. He has been getting recruited by Florida, Notre Dame and UCLA as well. I dont think Matt Spaeth is Kellen Winslow either. I like the commit. If you dont, well... I dont think anyone would care.
The next time you post anything remotely positive will be the first time. Your schtick is old and stale.us, wake and kent state. are you sure he's not a 5 star?
You are such an insufferably negative a$$hat. Your arrogance is off the charts and for no apparent good reason. He is a 3 star because of his play. The "4 star" was an initial rating that was after his sophomore year when he basically hadn't played at all.
He is getting recruited by those schools? I think we sure are stretching that word here. This is another situation where I just don't understand why people won't be honest about things. This is a commit who is completely a project where we hope our coaches see something other people aren't seeing and we got him early. Some of those are fine. A lot of them and there is cause for concern. Especially if it is unbalanced offense-defense.

I'm not negative. I'm honest. Do you want to talk about how coveted and talented Paris Ford is?You are such an insufferably negative a$$hat. Your arrogance is off the charts and for no apparent good reason.
I trust our staff over a know nothing psuedo-expert who puts down pretty much everybody.
You could actually look at his recruiting and interest. You could also watch his film.Well... I would read his coaches comments then. He was being recruited by those schools. Project???? Then lets be honest... every freaking recruit is a project. For every Tyler Boyd we have a Jack Lippert.... Every Aaron Donald a Shyne Hale or Chris Burns... I mean you can say a recruit is a slam dunk great player, but none are. Conversely you can complain about a Mike Shanahan (who was 37 in the state) or JP Holtz who was 26th in the state... hey he turned out to do OK.
I think you need to be honest about your lack of optimism at anything. The dude just committed to Pitt... he is SMART... we had 3 TEs vying for 2 spots and he said I want one of them and committed. because one service list a 40 time for him that is slow you will vilify the recruit?
Charles Reeves 40 time is 4.67.. would be a great compliment. Clark's was 4.63
