New Pat Signal - Grant Carrigan - TE

I've been a Pitt season ticket holder for a long time. Didn't miss a game last year. Loved last year's recruiting class; incredibly disappointed by this one, thus far. If not chugging the Kool-aid makes me a troll, then I suppose I ought to go find a bridge to guard.
Sure you have. Trolls live under bridges...branch campus dummie.

Alrighty. Well I can see that you're the self-appointed sheriff of this forum, as opposed to a knowledgeable fan. If you ask me, it's kind of odd to get so deeply offended when someone posts something other than unequivocal worship about a team they root for. Have a fantastic day.
Nope. I just call out obvious trolls. You don't offend me at all. I pity people like you who feel the need to go on another team's board pretending to be a fan and then do nothing but talk sh*t. You are object of pity, make no mistake.

I wonder if you are a troll because you make Pitt fans look no better than the idiots who blindly support PSU. Same MO, different colors.

Wade is absolutely not favoring Pitt. I'm not saying he won't end up here, and I would have thought Hamlin would go to OSU at this time last year. But to say he is favoring Pitt is just false. And our class right now is absolutely lacking. Am I supposed to be celebrating guys we haven't even landed yet as opposed to analyzing the fourteen guys we have gotten? Sure, this class can end up being decent, but it's an uphill battle right now. We are, what, anywhere from the mid-40s to the low-50s in most team recruiting rankings? And there are, what, 62 or 63 P5 teams in college football? You do the math. I just expected more with such a good WPIAL crop this year. And it seems like Ford was coming to Pitt regardless of what coach/staff are here, so I apologize for the blasphemy, but I think the recruiting efforts have been a disappointment this year.

How on earth is he not favoring Pitt????? He has been at Pitt 3 times since practice started. Ohhhh... and who would you think he is favoring???? And last year we had 7 verbals before the season. In 2015 we were ranked 70!! in 2013 we had our highest ranking at 35, and we had 10... TEN 2 star recruits ... but since we got Boyd and Johnson from out of UPS grips and some guy named Travon Chapman, who I am sure you would have loved, we were rated that high. Sooooooo... yeah, when we land Wade and Jeter, who we are leading for, our rankings will be high 30s.

Oh yeah... he tweeted this out yesterday... he might do the same with his other finalist... and probably will... buuuuuuuttttt.... he hasnt yet.

The more Wade is there the better but I don't believe it means he's favoring Pitt. I'm sure physical location has a lot to do with it. Miles Sanders probably spent more time at Pitt than any other recruit last year. Maybe even any 2 combined.

Got to trust Narduzzi on this one. He's not in the business of offering scholarships to stiffs. (Kind of wish he'd have left Sear for my other alma mater, though.)

I do trust him, I like coach a lot , and he is not a lazy recruiter at all, but his results are no better than Sleepy, and Sleepy had recruits look around after they committed, I'm just confused as to why he is struggling at the moment. I have faith , trust me

I heard that TE that transferred in was hurt, but as he had to sit this year anyways, it wont matter. Is there any word on if he will recover?

He had a real high ranking. Should make for a great weapon next season if he comes back.
Up to every Recruit to become the Best Player he can be later after he commits and then signs, I don't judge or see it any other way, and see on Upside In Talking Down, but that is just me.

Coaches choose to give the offers,Recruits choose or reject them, then the real work comes, and up to each the Coaches & now Players to now do their Best and Fans will judge that on how both do ON & Off the GridIron now.

Good luck to all!

Well it's not apples to apples... sanders committed way back in February last year. Narduzzi waa trying to flip him

I think if I had to bet Wade is leaning more toward Pitt than psu. The psu poster that said he is leaning to psu Gave absolutely no supporting evidence.

Your speculation is as good as his speculation.

Nobody on a message board will know $hit one way or the other until he actually commits.

You certainly are not a very scientific person. I think coming to a conclusion with some evidence is better than the other conclusion without it... but hey, you're right who needs logic. It's all a coin flip, not like these recruits are people

Double aa. Other than coming to practice a couple of times recently, why do you believe he's more likely coming our way vs. state penn?

And you're certainly no lawyer. Where's your "evidence"? Your post says "I think if I had to bet..."

That's abject speculation. Evidence is actual facts or information that supports your conclusion. I must have missed the part of your post where you stated the facts and information.

Actually I never debated it one way or the other, I merely pointed out that nobody really has any idea what he's going to do, Pitt, PSU , or one of the other 35 programs that are after him. It's all speculation. All you're doing is speculating. His tweets have been all over the place from what Ive heard and his attendance at practices doesn't mean a thing other than that his celebrity as a top recruit gives him access in his hometown. There's no actual evidence that he's "leaning" anywhere.

Strange to me that you keep arguing rather than just admitting that it's a fact that nobody on this board has any idea what Wade will end up doing. You're not alone on this board though, there are plenty of others with the same affliction.

I think Pitt gets this kid, and PSU looks for another coach after this season.

There is absolutely nothing I can say about PSU, outside the fact, they willfully and neglectfully allowed little kids to be raped for many years. That's it that's all...

I think myself and others have said no one knows where he is going. However, I said, and I stick to it, based on actions, words, tweets, whatever... one has to think we are slightly ahead and he is leaning Pitt. To be honest, even if none of that existed, I would think he is leaning because he is one of the premier defensive backs in all of the COUNTRY. And Narduzzi is known, and shown, to be one of the best teachers of DBs in all of the COUNTRY. It is a perfect fit, and Whitehead and Hamlin, the two biggest local recruits in each of the last two years both saw that, and I think Wade will as well. By the way, I also think Aliquippa's Raines is leaning to Pitt.
