There’s been plenty of new players. And there will be plenty more with all those ships. Quality is another matter.
You would think kids would come to Pitt for the simple matter of them being in the ACC, but even that can't help Capel recruit much.
By the time we fill out roster, it’ll be portal players who might have permanently sat the bench, have zero stats, or coming off of serious injury.
I wonder if that Autistic Kid who came in the last minute of a game and hit a few 3 pt shots is available.??Our latest recruiting class

We've had guys that have played significant minutes, where starters on an ACC team, and even that is not enough to hold their interest, they just want out ASAP.
Players don’t like Capel. We know this. His recruiting methods don’t work. He is a bad X and O’s coach. He won’t upgrade his staff for the benefit of the program. He is not going to magically land a bunch of quality transfers. It’s just not happening. He just doesn’t have what it takes to be a successful ACC level coach.
Stallings slept in gyms while he was supposed to be watching recruits. These guys just sleep at their desks to save the travel costs. Some grad assistant comes by and kicks their chair when the Zoom meeting is ready to start.
It is actually simple. Good, even just average players, want no part of Capel. Things won't get better until a new coach is in place. Even then, it will probably take a few years to get to a winning overall record. At this point, a winning record in the ACC and an NCAA bid are far off.
I said before and will say it again, we have to wait until everyone fills up. We aren't getting any P6 level player that has more than a year left. We aren't going to get another player until May and won't fill most of the roster until June
I have no problem losing players from a bad team like we had last season but where in the hell are the new players? This is beyond incompetence .... this is blatant lazy!
What Capel is doing is a fireable offense in most jobs. Being outright and visibly lazy and not caring one bit about your job responsibilities while throwing it in the face of your employer is just unethical. The sooner Capel is gone, the better. We need to get a coach in here, and he isn't it.
There will be some on here who will still be more lenient with Capel and want to give him another year for whatever stupid reason they try and fabricate. For them, I don't know what to say. Maybe they're watching a different team and program than what we have now at Pitt under Capel. That's just delusional.
If we're getting players with no more than a year left, if we even get any, then I'm not interested. They mean nothing no matter what they do. You don't build a program with 1 year portal players that are table scraps.
We aren't building a program. I don't know what's so hard to understand. We have a coach who will be fired in 11 months and everyone knows it. You think Capel and Co. dont know it? They are checking all boxes so the full buyout is paid March.
