Newkirk Will Have an Effect in a Number of Ways

I thought that until that signed ANO that Newkirk perhaps getting a medical RS was a possibility. I am now inclined to think that Nix may get the RS, and that they expect Newkirk to be ready to play. I am hopeful that his disappointing play this year was related to the injury, but he just looked so lost at times defensively. I think they have to get productive minutes from him in the 10-15 minute range in the backcourt. He has to get meaningful reps as he would have to take the point in 2016-17.
