Coach Jamie Dixon takes the cautious approach and avoids difficult match up with North Allegheny or Chartiers Valley, playing Shenango this coming Tuesday. Dixon states that getting to 20 wins this year or keeping his inflated winning percentage as the main reason for his scheduling. Dixon continued, "most people don't realize how good Shenango really is." They have a good shot of winning their conference, expect them to be in the WPIAL tournament." Shenango High School is currently 3-5 with their last game being a loss to formerly winless South Park. Last year Shenango was 6-20. Next up after Shenango is Burrell who is currently 1-5.

Joke? This game was part of a tournament by the way. Pitt doesn't select the teams in tourneys.

Have you ever checked out any other DI schedules? Didn't think so.

I guess the win shouldn't count for Pitt as it didn't count as a win for #6 Oklahoma. Wait...you mean it counted as a win for a top 10 team. Well then it should count for us too.

Well you all can enjoy Eastern Washington, Western Carolina, and Morehead State. There's no way throwing out the Gonzaga game that didn't count, that Pitt has the #12 schedule in the country. Duquesne's present record could have skewed that, but does anyone think Duquesne will finish over .500. If the ACC-BIG 10 challenge was away this year, Pitt would not have played one interesting team at home. I gave my tickets up this year because of this. Enjoy the blow out versus the nobodies, sucker!

Too bad you let your lack of knowledge cause you make a poor decision. But it's your money, so more power to you.

That's Great. But the numbers still dont lie. Guarantee no one or very few here knew we were ranked that high in rpi and sos. I know I didnt until I looked it up.

There must be a lot of teams playing tomato cans out there.

No its not.

The people have pretty much spoken of what they think of these games. That was the lowest attended regular season game in Pete history and had the lowest number of students for games when they are not on break.

This wasn't part of the Gotham. I think Morehead, EWU, and Western Carolina are. Central Arkansas is bad, although they almost beat Rutgers. For a crappy OOC team, I was floored at how little three pointers they took, but I think Pitt guarded the perimeter pretty well again.

Pitt's OOC this year isn't that bad. Detroit just beat Northeastern, (who beat Miami). Kent St is pretty good. Davidson will be a bubble team. EWU and Morehead St are competent teams. UMBC and Central Arkansas are pretty bad though.

We could really use Duquense to end up a top 100 win. I still think they will do ok in the A-10, we just played really well on Friday.

Can you prove either of those claims?? Or just using your trained eye?? I wasn't there, BTW. Can you get me a refund?? Ohh, never mind, I gave the tix away....to a Pitt fan.

Dixon said in the post-game that this game was scheduled because Gotham dates changed and they had difficulty getting anyone to agree on a Sunday afternoon (they wouldn't play later because of the Steelers).

Of course I cant because Pitt makes up attendance numbers but I've missed very few games over the years and this one was far and away the worst. I'm not counting the SHU snowstorm game because I couldn't make it and there were so many students, from the internet feed, it looked like there were more people there.

In my row in the lower level of 18 seats, there were only 2 other people.

I picked what I thought was the most full looking section and counted 87 people in 122. There were over 400 seats in that section. There were several upper deck sections without a single person.

My 2500 estimate is pretty accurate.

But, fans love these games and Pitt makes tons of money off them right?

Pitt leads the nation in bitching. Some of you are pathetic and have nothing better to do than complain. GET OFF MY LAWN

yeah, I was off by 1 game. Those staggered tournies are hard to track. I knew it was coming up though.

Do you go to games to count fans or to watch the game?
