Please explain. DA effectively suggested McCoy's group may have been defending themselves.

Maybe, but Defending oneself and pummeling someone is different issue from what the video appears from my visual. His booze cruise he had his issues with Kelly. Not showing himself in the best light from my view. Not a fan

Yeah, that was terrible. Shady was one of what looked like a couple dozen people in the altercation. I even detected him throwing a punch, which he claims was in defense of a friend. And god forbid anyone claim that the undercover cops could have started it. Lets just assume Shady should get locked up in jail and the key thrown away because he was in an altercation.

He's guilty for being out at that time of the morning. The three cops aren't.

Didn't suggest that. I'll admit I know very little about the actual incident. But when I hear a DA talk about self defense, it means he's pretty sure the response was at least somewhat justified or, in this case, the defense will make the two cops involved look like clowns. That's all.

if he didn't start it what's the big deal. I am sure almost everyone would stick up for their friends if they were threatened.
