Noach Hiles and ACC explanation

What do they say about two hands to the facemask?!!!!

Ducked the question because he said it was a “judgment call”

So basically no accountability for shitty calls. It’s just a session to talk about rules

It’s f@cking disgusting

If Woods or Devonshire did that it’s flagged immediately

That’s true, but you have 3 deep guys on the officiating crew. These guys should be the most athletic and in position to make the call.

Yeah, but the play was 80 yards down field. I cannot imagine there has ever been a time on a play that was that long that the ref was standing at the goal line so that he would have a perfect look at what happened on the play. On a play like that the refs are always trailing the play.

Officials at this level should not get beat deep. Number 1 rule of thumb for a deep guy. They were actually there in position and the deep guy in the middle should have called it since he had the view and quite frankly has the easiest overall job on the crew. The guy closest to the pylon could not see it because he was shielded and made a good call on the fumble.

I'm going to say it again, coaches should be get 1 challenge per half on something so egregious as this. Football will not end as we know it if we allow challenges of horrific judgment calls.

Face mask was a huge miss - but it doesn’t wipe out the fumble. It would would have been 15 from the previous spot. We would have been running the next play at like our 33. So a little perspective they that wasn’t a game changing call.

The unsportsmanlike on 86 seemed to turn everything however.

Translation. I’m not going to discuss our shitty officiating
Welcome to the club. I can honestly say in my 40+ years watching FSU football this was the first game FSU had calls go their way. In every game this year it's been bad; especially considering it's widely known FSU wants out of the ACC.

I don't get Pitt fans' conspiracy theory that the ACC is making calls for FSU. FSU has trashed the league and will be gone as early as next year. If the ACC was indeed cheating, you'd think they would be making calls against FSU. As an ACC fan, I normally root for teams like FSU to compete nationally but I hope they shit the bed this season since they have been so vocal about wanting out. Clemson on the other hand, they would leave too but have handled this with respect, so I root for them.

I can understand your perspective and really don't take issue with it. I tend to pull for ACC teams as well, but lets face it, FSU (a football school) joined a basketball conference and the tobacco road schools will always have priority. Duke and UNC are the Bama and Auburns of this conference. There was hope it would change with the additions of the Big East schools, but it hasn't really panned out.

I honestly don't know what the answer is, but I certainly don't like these giant, non-regional conference realignments. What are they going to call the ACC next year, the All Coast Conference?

The ACC is perfect for FSU. Win it against teams you should win against and go to the CFP. In the 12 team playoff, they honestly should go to the CFP every year. Instead, you will be 7-5 every year in the SEC so what good is the money when you are playing in the Music City Bowl?

As for Cal, SMU, Stan. That was borne out of your desire to leave. The ACC is backfilling for FSU, Clem, and UNC in advance.

All I can say is the all mighty dollar is destroying my favorite sport.
