Norte Dame game

ABC/ESPN should release times by midday Tuesday but they may invoke the 6 day window on this game (if they want to see what happens to us Thursday first) in which case we may not know for another week

I don't think it's going to be a night game with Clemson and Florida State playing the same day

I tend to agree & I also heard last week that ESPN/ABC had already picked Nebraska-Michigan St & Minnesota-Ohio St for night games to be shown on ESPN, ESPN 2 or ABC, that leaves one of those 3 prime time slots available (which would probably be filled by FSU-Clemson). I guess technically they could still have it at 7 or 8 and put it on ESPN U or News but seriously doubt they do that to ND (and the ratings they'd stand to lose by putting them on one of those channels).

I don't think they have yet, and I believe they are contractually allowed to twice in a season, so I've been thinking for a couple weeks that if we kept winning that was the most likely scenario.

Somone on here last week said it was a 6 PM or 6:30 start.

But of course that hasn't been decided yet. Could it be a 6:00 or 6:30 start? Sure, it could be. But anyone who says that that has already been decided, indeed that it was decided last week or earlier, is simply wrong.

I'll be shocked if Clemson vs FSU isn't a night game and I doubt the ACC wants to compete against itself so I assume 12 or 3:30.

3:30 is fine with me............ I much prefer that to night games. There will still be plenty of a crowd.
That time frame means don't have to get up too early, gives plenty of time to get to game, have a nice lunch tailgate and not get home at 1am, or later.

And gives less time for people to drink too much and become assholes. The night game with Notre Dame a few years back was a big circus in Gold Lot 4. 400 people trying to stand where 40 would usually stand.
People acting like jerks trying to carve out their space to play bean bag toss. Some idiot from 5 cars away set up his bean bag game behind our vehicles so of course he could have his space for his tailgate friends. We nicely asked him to move his corn hole boards from behind our vehicles and he said "not his problem" It was when we caught his beanbag out of the air and threw it 4 rows away. This is mostly avoided at 3:30 games.

I guess I am different as I get older. I have no problem with Noon or 3:30 games. I prefer them to night games.

It would be nice at 3:30, so the students can actually have that experience, progress, i.e. tv money I suppose, but it seems to ruin everything else.

And gives less time for people to drink too much

What's the use of going then. If it's not going to be a big ass party, watch on TV. I can't believe there are people who arrive at game time and just walk in to their seats sober? If you're going to do that watching on TV is better. I hear this game is going to be at noon, I was thinking of going if it was a night game, but at noon I can't do it. A more important game conflicts with this, my daughter's soccer game.[/

Because I'm there for a football game. I enjoy tailgating with old friends and family and that enhances the GAME. I am there for the game first and foremost and haven't missed many since Heinz opened. It does not have to be an "event" for me. The game is enough. The rest is a bonus.

Oh and I enjoy a drink, and for 10 years I've been one of the 1st 10-15 cars into Lot 4. Which means I'm there at 7:30 for a noon game, which means I left my house at 4am minimum.
Which means I don't "show up right before game time"

Enjoy a tailgate as much as the next guy, but that is not the main reason I'm there.

I'll drink to that.

Steelers have no problem selling out with a bunch of drunks by 1pm every Sunday

timing of the game means nothing

I like the 12 noon start -- gives us an advantage

I wonder if you realize how pathetic you sound.
