I just saw a report on PSN about Pitt offering freshman Meleek Thomas from North Hills. I know North Hills is not a basketball mecca, but I think there is another kid who is a sophomore who is being recruited.

Yes. Royse Parham was just offered today, a sophomore. Problem is his mom played for the nits. We will see
Which leads to the question….will he pick Pitt in the end? And if not will anybody be left feeling numb?
Hopefully he’ll be thinking “Pitt is somewhere I belong”
Parham is at North Hills, Thomas is at Lincoln Park. I thought that was a type of reform school, so maybe he ends up back at North Hills? I'm not sure if he was ever in the NH school district, just going by what Pgh Sports now reported.
Lincoln Park Performing Arts School is in Midland. They have been good for awhile now and have produced quite a few D1 players. Maverick Rowan being one of them.

LP has been accused of bending the rules by recruiting and sometimes will advise player’s to stay back between 8th and 9th grade to get an extra year. Rowan did that and was 20 years old as a Fr. in college.

I can verify maleek and Royce both played at north hills at one time.
