OC coaches, who is out there?

I'm stating reality, the "pro style" you're talking about will be a failure. It's time to move into this century like 90% of college teams and many NFL teams.

We can throw out all the names we want and it likely won't be anyone being talked up on this board. You're free to throw out your names too. Of the names I've seen, Streeter intrigues me the most. Even if its only 2 years.

Pro-style does work. It depends on what people deem to be "pro-style" and where you talent is according to your team.. People think that spread style changes the results, but it really doesn't.

PN isn't going to go after someone young, look at all of his previous hires, he was old experienced vets

We’ll see. They want someone who will stick around for a few years, and they don’t want a retread.

This is not my opinion, by the way. It’s what I’ve been told. I don’t know everything but I have been given some good info over the years. I was given this today.

I hope it's true but as the others noted, it would go against the precedent he's established

I have to laugh.
Most of these OC suggestions are great candidates none of who will be coming to PITT.

If they did they would be terrible choices because they'll be gone in one or maybe two years.

PITT needs competence and stability.

It comes down to someone early in their career who needs 3-5 years to build a resume, or an older established OC with a good track record who likes Pittsburgh and isn't interested in jumping around. Maybe PITT will be their last stop prior to calling it quits.

Go find us someone who fits into one of those two categories!

Most of them probably aren't realistic, but lets not go for stability. Narduzzi got that in Watson and we saw what happened. Hire the best coach. Hopefully it is someone younger as I think that would help with recruiting and "modernize" the offense.

I get the best coach available part except if it's a one and done or even two and done guy that won't do us any good!

Historical staff turnover is one of the reasons we have trouble recruiting today!

My priority would be a competent coach, with a god track record who intends be a part of the program for a while.
Probably a guy who has no interest in becoming a HC.

Once the program stabilizes it'll be easier to attract better recruits and eventually staff.

PITT has definitely taken a step forward regarding stability with Narduzzi.
